Seriously, I wish the white kids would make an effort to get to know the non-white kids in Bellport High School and show some respect. People only fight when they're not communicating. There should not be meetings ONLY when there's violence etc.. If there were Town Hall meetings 2 times a month there would start to be a process of healing and understanding while fostering kindness and positive relationships. People need to make it there business to get to these meetings and show respect to all people regardless of race, religion, country of origin, age etc.. I use to live in a very diverse neighborhood and since we were always around various people we got along well, respected our differences and appreciated each other. Everything good takes time. It hurts me that there's so much fighting in Bellport and/or North Bellport. Everyone needs to realize we are all equal and all God's children so they can wake up and be respectful. NO ONE IS BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE AND I'M TIRED OF ALL THE RACISM WHICH IS THE ROOT OF MOST FIGHTING. Try showing kindness and think positively instead of thinking the worst of people and promoting all the negativity. I know if people really want to get along they can find ways to make that happen! That was once tried by the very same fire department that was supposed to protect the town from fire. A rogue in the department went around starting fires in the community just so that he would be recognized as a hero. That community has always been used by the people who are meant to provide services. No wonder they are angry. Now people want to act as if they do not know what the problem is. Some know and as time goes on it will be revealed already the greed has spread into the towns so called leadership. Give it time you will find out that some of the very same people who are talking about this neighborhood are somehow profiting from it demise.
