I read the mini posters on the windows of many store fronts;and it reads water slides but No changing areas? also what it says on the flier is that there is NO food or drink allowed in the event no ice chest" many people can't afford to go out and buy there children something to eat or drink. so me and my family can not afford to go so we are staying home and watching the event from there. HAVE FUN AND HAVE A HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY .

This is a safety issue, just to be on the safe side the city said no to ice chests becuase somebody could hide a weapon or bring liquior into the Victor P. Lopez center parking lot. Here is an idea for you, you and your family can eat at home and still treat your family to the fire work show for free. Just a thought. Have a nice 4th of July also

I can certainly appreciate both sides of everyones' opinions. Somewhere along the line there has to be a happy median. I think that everyone on the council wants positive outcomes for the town. Some disagree more than others. That is what the First Ammendment was written for. Freedom of Speech.
I think that everyone is willing to have some sort of change come about. Positive or negative, we all have to learn, take notes and try to make it better the next time around.
I also think that it is time for the town to become united and work together as a community to make it a better, more enjoyable place to live. Not one man or woman is perfect. If we were, then the world would be boring and uninspiring. Disputes are healthy,if everyone is willing to keep a positive open mind and are willing to sort through the bad and ugly and come to a happy median. Remember, it is okay to agree to disagree.
Now this is just my opinion, and only my opinion.

Have dashing young Mario and your mayor guy call the editor and/or publisher of the Times and say we would like to explain their side of the documented story that was published.

THEY want to explain why the mayor lied to the community on June 18.

THEY want to outline the significance of the mayor's relationship to Iyad Naffa, the behest payments by Naffa, the cost of being the PR team for Naffa, and why "apartments" keeps coming back into the scenario the few times the issue has been before the City Council.

THEY want to outline for the press and the community, why in only 26 or 27 years he has accured a vast knowledge base for his career as a politician. Mario will expain why he lists real properties on his form 700 (Conflict of Intrerest statement) that he does not own. That happened after the mayor publically introduced him as his choice to be the new mayor, indicating that he was man on the way up and owned several properties in Orange Cove.

THEY can explain how the Hill Cabal has taken over the news content and editorial policy of the "Orange Cove and Mountain Times" and the "Reedley Exonent". I'm sure Mr. HALL and the Editors will be interested in having this explanation.

So you see OCM/Mario ... it is "clear as day" how YOU can set the record straight.

Oh, yeah, that also introduces another part of the interview process ... interviews are two-way streets, and the reporter, editor, publisher will also be asking questions. So keep them Q-cards handy!!
