California man sues Boy Scouts over alleged sex abuse in Vacaville troop

A Northern California man is suing the local Boy Scouts council he was involved with as a teenager over sexual abuse he alleges occurred at the hands of his troop leader.

Really??? Or could it be that he's just trying to cash in because the Boy Scouts have been in the news recently??? All this greedy POS and his scumbag lawyer are doing is looking for a quick out-of-court settlement. I'm throwing the bullsh1t flag on this one!
I hope the Boy Scouts aggresively fight these allegations, and sue THEM for all court costs and attorney fees once it's dismissed for lack of evidence.
Is there no statute of limitations on something like this? This POS must've been REALLY traumatized if it took him over 34 YEARS to say something. Good luck trying to find witnesses and actual evidence.

Sadly, I don't think the organizations can sue to recover their costs. We need serious tort reform and we need it now. It would only take a few multi million dollar judgements against the slime ball lawyers for filing these sorts of bogus claims and the others would catch a clue.

Wow. Funny how we can read a story and all get something different from it. Math. If Gary is 59 years old now. 35 years ago he was 24. Sounds odd for a 24 year old to be heading up scouts . Mark would have been about 15. Not sure but think that is an eagle scout. Gary certainly didn't have kids that age. Make we wonder why a guy in his early 20's would be volunteering for. Remember the the time frame late 70's early 80's. I'm thinking Gary was up to no good
