It's great for the people but now who's going to get all of this lawyers. The crooked lawyers. They will steal in the legal sense they will never see any of it. It's probably the lawyers pushing for this amount knowing the kind of money they have. Can they put the lawyers on trial after this. Hey, let face it they will be outsmarted by the lawyers you shall see. Shame b/c they will only see maybe if they are lucky 1000.00 mark my word.

I was glad to see these two women were able to get justice with their criminal case, but now it looks like nothing more than the greedy lawyers looking for everything. Too bad.

Since the trial is over shouldn't these two be deported. Well if they win the money the lawyers can only collect 1/3 of the total so at least they will get some money.

The accused were convicted and sentenced to prison. Their sentence includes federal forfeiture of their $2 million home, and back pay to the victims amounting to almost $1 million more. I'm sure that their legal expenses are also astronomical.

I don't know how much is left for the civil suit, which is probably being pushed by greedy lawyers who tripped all over each other seeking to represent the victims, and who are looking for a big percentage of any settlement.

Do you think these lawyers really have the victims' best interests at heart, or are they just looking for a big payday?

Why all the nasty comments about the lawyers? The victims don't even speak English. They are completely unable to exercise their rights Would you prefer they got nothing? Do you all work for nothing? How do you know what the financial arrangements are? These lawyers will work for free for many years before the receive payment ( if they win)

The civil justice system S U C K S. The lawyers charge for EVERYTHING $250.00 to mail a letter $300.00 to fax something. You receive a bill monthly even if you still have YEARS to go.
