2 charged with selling drugs in East Northport

Two men were arrested Friday afternoon by Suffolk County police, who said they seized cocaine, marijuana, prescription drugs, and drug packaging paraphernalia.

Is it me? Or does it seem like nickel and dime low level drug busts make big news. These stories are hardly worth reporting. Between the two 'dealers' there's less than $1k worth of dope. Looks like the SCPD is wants a 'at a boy' to me.

this means they got about 14 grams of marijuana, 7 grams of hash and 7 grams of cocaine, and a handful of pills... i know kids with personal stashes bigger than that...to consider this drug bust worthy of the news is absurd. why dont you report on something good like progress in another community oppose to petit drug offenses.

You have no idea what your talking about. NYS LAW states even if you just "offer" another person a Drug, it's a "Sale", So lets just say, if you were smoking POT (not that you would) and you simply offer another person a hit, of your joint. That's a "Drug Sale". The amount's listed are not really that small also, look at all the pills too. These two might being going to jail

yeh theyll be out in a day because theyll be giving up all their connects and other people in the game so there not the ones getting their salad tossed. its a necessary part of the effort to eliminate drugs you have to get to the little ones to get to the larger ones. however usually the cops end up robbing them because it pays more to take a 50 thousand dollar stash then to do hours of paperwork with the recession ;) the only reason why this made the papers is because a 16 year old was involved in this "drug ring". and about this town battle thats going on. Northport is a whitebred town and pat-med / bellport does have its bad areas but so does every town.
