Baden to do 2nd autopsy on Szostak

It does seem like the police were very quick to rule this an accidental drowning. With the people who went msising from this area and the article about missing college kids from other states who were found in rivers, I don't blame the family at all for wanting a second opinion.
Whatever happens,my prayers are with the family. Josh, rest in peace. |

I agree with you Kathy. I am not going to knock the police department..but it was a quick case closed decision. I am glad the family has had time to be able to make a rational decision to get things double checked before he was buried. My prayers for the family is that they get the answers they are looking for. They know where their child is. It is not consolation, by any means, but they have him back. My heart breaks for the families that have lost a member to the river recently. Some of them have very little press. Josh's family and friends have done an excellent job of keeping him in the spotlight. RIP Joshua and peace to the family and friends

According to reports, the autopsy is complete and Dr. Baden has turned his findings over to the family and the Albany PD. Dr. Baden said it is up to the family whether or not they want to make the conclusions public. On one hand I think the family should be allowed to grieve privately, the curious side of me, of course, wants to know Dr. Baden's findings...especially after having been a fan of his HBO program for several years. He is a forensic genius!

We can only hope they got the answers they were searching for. My prayers for this family.

I'm with Brian :)
Joshua will be laid to rest tomorrow. The Szostak's want answers but have not completed the grieving process. Everything in due time. Rest in peace Joshua. |

I am so glad that they finally found him. I wouldn't be able to live with the fact that they never would have found him if he was my family member. I hope the family finds what they're looking for and get what they need to start healing from this tragedy. No one should die this young. My prayers are with the family.

I pray that they got the answers they were looking for. Dr. Baden is phenomenal... I just want to wish Joshua's family peace and tranquility and most of all privacy while you grieve. God Bless all of you and his friends, too,
that have said so many nice things about him. A tribute to his life. |

Who wrote this story? How did they ever pass a college level writing class?
The detectives went public with their investigation today, saying they believe there are mutliple serial killers on the loose, targeting young college men and they say they believe Bzostak be have been one of them. |

It just doesn't seem right.... where were his friends? Why did they let him leave when they knew he was apparently intoxicated? They came as a group, they should have left as a group!
My heart goes out to the family.... |

1 Its Szostak not Bzostak okay sweetie. |

His friends didn't leave him. They were heading someplace else and Josh needed to use the bathroom. The cameras in the Bayou showed Josh coming out and bypassing his friends. We walked outside, looked up and down Pearl St., checked his cell phone and then started walking south on Pearl St. He apparently thought they had already gone, and started walking back to get his car at the Elbo Room where he had left it when going to the Bayou. |

1 They did arrive as a group and would have left as a group if they didn't miss each other in passing. I myself got seperated from a friend while out we both thought the other left. I was in the bathroom thinking my friend was waiting for me, she thought I left because she didn't see me come out of the bathroom so she left. We both left the bar alone late at night, thinking back it wasn't a smart thing to do. |

Did anyone hear on the "Today Show" about collage age boys coming up missing, and them thinking that it's some kind of serial killer out there drowning college age boys??? I want to know more.
|
|
|
They said something about the killer or killers leaving a smiley face near where the body is dumped. The forensic doctor that did the 2nd autopsy didn't release any details of his findings, why???

I meant College age boys in my other post.

It's something that shouldn't be overlooked. IMO |

Dr. Baden gave his results to the family and the Albany Police Dept. He felt that it was up to the family to decide whether to release his findings.
