Are you kidding me? If you look at the ticket from the front, you can clearly see that the 2 parts DO NOT MATCH!! Give me a break! She's from Shirley for god sake.

The Lottery knows who wins. After the numbers are drawn, the system knows how many winners, how much for each winner and even where the ticket was purchased.

Anyone who tries to fake a winning ticket is just plain stupid.

She probably went crazy shopping and dreamed up this scam to divert the blame elsewhere. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of computer technology knows Lotto id high tech and can't be scammed this way.

With instant tickets, the NYS Lottery has no idea where the winning tickets are.

In this instant gratification society, maybe she should have waited a few days before spending $12,000, my god did she have to spend half her winnings immediately?

"It's the season for tricks and treats, and this one smells like a cheap trick," Charlson said. "At most, if the player thinks she's entitled to an award, it would be the two bucks she claims she spent on the bogus ticket."

HAHAHA - good one! Witty as heck.

The Lottery is driving people crazy. Sometimes I wish I never heard of it! I've been trying to win that Jackpot for 40 years, since it started. I guess some people are starting to lose it over the lottery.

exactly, not like she was saving for a rainy day....
i hope she considered paying some bills with her winnings...
maybe her children can return some of the stuff they bought, then mommy wouldn't have to be sueing for her alleged money....

Ever cash a lottery ticket??? The agent doesn't visually check the ticket- they scan the code that is imprinted on the ticket- It would tell whether the ticket was a winner or loser-
Face it folks, the lottery is legalized robbery for morons- Wise up and stop playing.
