the fact that you just have to have the right last name and you can just do whatever you want and if you get caught it IS just swept under the rug that IS what your teaching these kids. That is exactly the problen in princeton or as Ive renamed it the holyer than thou land you people need to figure it out thats how your rasing your kids.Your last name does not give any one the right to do whatever you feel like doing. That IS the problem!!!! STOP RAISING YOUR KIDS TO BE JUST LIKE YOU!!!!!!!

I graduated in 2009. I was close to some of the young people in these tragedies. I don't think blame should be put on the school. Not even in the slightest bit. When all this started happening I think phs did try to help. But didn't know how to PROPERLY help. I don't think this is something that is very common. I do think that something should have been figured out by now....at that age I didn't want help dealing with what happened I masked the pain from it and didn't deal with the situation like I should have nor was I mature enough. But at that age I didn't know any better.i thought it was wierd to speak to people who were older and didn't understand what was happening. I went on to make alot more mistakes and very serious ones at that. I now realize I was dealing with depression that I hid from parents who raised me right and we're very respectable people and friends. I think mistakes I made may have been prevented had there been some better help. In no way am I trying to not take blame for what i did. I made those decisions to do wrong. but there needs to be better communication/help from the community for these kind of things I do feel princeton is very divided from younger generations and older. The community and parents need to start looking for answers. Pointing fingers ain't helping the situation. Maybe a meeting to discuss ways to reach the youth would be helpful? Maybe some from the younger side of the community need to speak up too.
I hope what I said makes since. Thank you

It takes an entire community to get involved, when children start committing suicide. You can not just look the other way. If we (as a community) dont get a handle on this, more and more children will follow. I know this from experience. We need more outreach from our learders in our community and Schools. But most of all the children in the community need to be taught to understand that depression can be overcome, but suicide can not. I am not a Princeton native. The town that I moved here from has been suffering a suicide epidemic for many years, greatly bc the community looks the other way. I moved to find a healthy environment to raise my children. I teach my children to comunicate all emotions and feelings with me. No one should ever feel ashamed of the way they feel.

It's not only teen suicides, it is suicide in general. The thinking in this area seems to make suicide an option. Maybe if we would have not disallowed God in our life and school and community people would remember it is not an option . Suicide is not an option, life is hard, it hurts, a lot and people fail us, we fail others but suicide is still not an option. We stay we fight because we are always stronger than we think. I moved from this area specifically so my kids would not have to attend Princeton High School. So let's talk about teen suicide. The emotional abuse from teachers and lack of true leadership made me scared for my kids. Let's face it, kids are awful to each other, they always have been , it is how the people in the positions to protect them, handle that responsibility, that makes the difference. Yes social media multiplies the negative effect kids have on each other, but it still lands in the lap of the people that can intervene with true compassion. They are failing in that school system. One of the most influential people in my young life was one of my teachers. She showed genuine compassion, she saved me, because she cared. My home life was tragic and scary, the stuff in nightmares, but I had someone that cared and I am greatful. So the princeton school board needs to open their eyes and look at the people they choose to teach and care for our children. Wake up princeton! This is getting out of hand!

This town is so pathetic! The bureau county police department are a disgrace. The corrupt judges and states attorney keep letting horrible drug users and thieves run the streets never to pay for the horrible malicious crimes they have done on more than one occasion. They call it suicides and do they really even look in to it? What was the reason they committed suicide? The horrible bullying on social media? The horrible people the parents let them run around with? Put it together. Get involved in your kids lives! So many parents trying to be your kids best friend, grow up and be the one to keep them safe.
