Question: What's the difference between an Iowa State Trooper and a Mexican highway bandit?

Answer: The Trooper gets much better pension benefits.

This is a BS story, generated by WQAD after reading it on wire story. No where in the story does law enforcement say it's true that more tickets are being written because that would be a lie. But of course the troopers aren't going to tell you that 5 mpph over is OK, it's just always been an unwritten law.

I make several trips to the Cincinatti area every year and there are times I see that the 'Big Rigs' outnumber the private cars by as many as 2 to 1 and most are five to fifteen miles per hour over the limit; yet I see very few are pulled over for excessive speed or riding in the passing lane side by side for miles at a time. I realize they need to make their scheduled deliveries; but speeding is not the answer. I used to gage my speed off them and now I am not sure what to do. By the way I and my wife have over 80 years of driving this nations highways and neither of us has had a ticket or an accident. AND YES WE ARE LUCKY.

If you don't drive a Toyota the brakes are supposed to slow you so you're under the limit.
