There's nothing wrong with drunk driving. The true danger is those that want to decriminilize pot...

I have an idea...to increse state revenues why not let the indians serve liquor 24/7? This should help with the problem.

Hey, I've got an idea - to make extra money for the state, why don't we let the casinos keep their bars open 24/7? Brilliant!

This headline and article implies that the 7 drunk driving arrests were due to drinking at the casinos, without any substantiation whatsoever!

Reactionary politics. If drunk driving is a huge problem in the area (which it is), then solve the real problem rather just peripherally treating it for a week or two.

The real problem is people deciding to drive drunk. Focus on that individual responsibility.

In the wake of the fatal crash involving the Mohegan Sun drinker, all comments were closed off on all related stories. Why? Mohegan Sun is a heavy advertiser on courant.com . Bet the same thing happens here, even though the story only indirectly involves the casino.

How about we start holding the casinos responsible for liquoring up drivers and sending them on their merry way?

Gee whizz Beav, drunks driving away from the casinos during the wee hours. Never woulda thunk it.
It took some fatalities for CSP to figure this out?

How many arrests would there have been had the casinos not existed? What is the price we are willing to pay for the slot machine revenues?

Were they really driving drunk or innocent and just "legally drunk?"

Keep up the good work State Police. Pay no attention to the drunks and idiots who criticize you on this site. Nail them on the road. Lawmakers pass stiffer penalties higher fines and more jail time; Prosecutors enforce them.

The headline and story here imply that these drunk driving arressts have something to do with the casinos, without any evidence whatsoever. Very unfair.

7 Arrests? Big deal! I'm guessing most readers could name at least one bar in there town where they could have made twice as many arrests in a couple of hours.

Just leave troopers parked near the exits from the casinos.

Lots of $ for the state and some protection for the taxpayers.

Thanks troopers, for doing your jobs!

You mean to tell me that while on "routine patrol", all of a sudden, the state police made 7 arrests? Why has this not happend before? do you mean that no one else has been drunk driving from the casino? It is obvious that they are targeting the state's bread and butter industry. Without the casino, maybe we will have to lay off some troopers.
