Redevelopment, finances top issues in South El Monte council race

Redevelopment and the state budget crisis are among issues concerning candidates running for South El Monte City Council.

Mayor Blanca Figueroa is our choice for city council. She has the experience and has proven herself as a "worker bee." We need someone that has impacted our city and dared to make things happen despite the odds. Her leadership send a loud and clear message that she "gets the job done." She has lead an outstanding working relationship with the city council, city managers and city staff. We are sorry to see that all her political signs have disapeared from the city. Signs don't get you elected Ms. Figueroa. We do. The residents that believe and trust your honesty and committment. Count on all six of us ...and much, much more.

I will ask to see your campaign statements when you actually purchased signs Blanca. You obviously think that our residents are stupid enough to beleive your signs have "disapeared".

Keep writing comments about yourself. The fact is you are going down on election day.

Residents, I encourage you to ask for Blanca Figueroa's campaign statements and you will see that she has never reported buying lawn signs.

Funny how all of a sudden during election time you remove that inoperable vehicle which was parked in your driveway for 2 years because people complain about you.

Stick to the issues. Figueroa and the other four have done a great job in improving South El Monte. Pardo has done nothing for South El MOnte. What makes him think that he can just walk in and get elected to the council. That turkey has his nerve. Those that have made our city prosper need to get back on the council. Garcia or Gonzales can be appointed back on the council. That is probably their plan anyways. Why are you spying on the mayor Pardo? The DA and Sheriffs needs to follow you. Mayor Figueroa most certainly had signs.
I had one on my fence and so did my uncle's business. We should know. We put them up our selves. They were put up on a friday night and gone before morning came. There were 26 total. She had some left over from her council campaign. What sneaking rats are running around the city? It is sad to witness desperate councilmembers tear down other people's signs.Just how desperate are they? Pretty dame desperate and stupit. You only kill your own reputation and credibility as officials.
The people know what is going on. They are well informed about your games, lies and deception.

Our sign was also stolen. But sign or no sign we are still voting for Figueroa. She has done a good job as the Mayor of our city. Bet you that THEY will still hit the mayor with a Nasty Mailer. It won't surprise us one bit. Pardo has a track record of doing such mailers. We are never giving up on Figueroa. She will continue to work in bettering South El Monte.

We are talking about Redevelopment people. Seeing how the has grown with in the time that Figueroa has been Mayor has made a big impact in this city that we call home. IT'S ABOUT REDEVELOPMENT. She said that she would bring in a Marshalls and she did just that. Now that's what I call keeping your promise. That is what we are talking about. Never mind the yard signs. We all knew good and well that Figueroa's would disapear from our homes. They never last. We vote you in. Not the signs. The city looks crappy and ugly with all that mess anyways. Get real people. Who has made an impact in our city?
