Yeah believe what? You can wait for the rest of your life for Jesus to come back. You are more likely to see Jesus in trees than to see him return to Earth.

Unless of course Jesus actually smoked pot, gave pot to people, and harvested it, otherwise known as the Great Harvest.

that's why people were cured and saw stuff, they were all high. haha.

Re your comment, "This scam artist should be in jail along with the rest of these types. They prey on the ignorant and steal their money." I'm sorry to read your words as I'm all too aware of the truth in them re: many evangelists. I am however compelled to share with you a truth you are unaware of. In the the 38 years Pastor Montoya has been pastor to FFBC, not once has he asked for a raise. FFBC did however plant a church in the La Habra area and actively contribute to this day, financially with a Baptist Church in the Wilmington area. This does not include the numerous missionaries finanacially supported by FFBC in other countries. Pastor Montoya had such a strong desire to reach the Whittier community that he consolidated everything to come to this community. Not for profit, but for the very reason he has faithfully taught the word of God without compromise, because of his desire to reach the lost one soul at a time, not by words of his own but through the words of scripture. If the manner by which a man lives exposes the hidden agenda of his heart, Pastor Montoya's 38 plus years of passionate preaching and daily living reveal a heart committed to the cause of Christ wholly. I do understand your inclination to think evangelists are what you say, and perhaps your summation in general is accurate; but for the men of God like Pastor Montoya who dedicate their lives unselfishly and without waiver to accurately preaching the word of God, your words are as far from the truth as East is to West. I invite you to visit the church and examine if what I claim is true or false. What a wonderful opprtunity it would be to have you find that such men do exists.

This guy "Alex Montoya" is another criminal in disguise. He's managed to convince parishoners to re-finance their homes inorder to fund his new church. Ego, Greed and notoriety is what this guy and church is all about. Politics is what runs this church, not Christ's desires.

I hope and pray Mr. Montoya corrects his inapproprate behavior and focuses on God and not himself.

People are begining to get fed up with this church's politics and leaving. Hopefully Alex Montoya can dig deep and the "Right Thing" for his church. Do Christ's Will and not Montoyas Will.....

Look at me....Look what were doing....hardly Christ like. Your scam has been figured out. Do God's will and not FFBC's will.

"Ego, greed and notoriety"? Where do you get this stuff from? You obviously don't know Alex Montoya. I am an engineer, a graduate of USC , who has known and served under this man of God for over 35 years. Over this time Pastor Montoya has turned down numerous higher paying opportunities in order to keep to his first calling -- preaching the word of God in our community; sheesh he's even taken a pay cut.

You say 'politics' runs this church? Hardly. In the 35+ years I've been involved with this church, FFBC has remained true to its name -- holding to the most basic tenets of the scriptures. I wouldn't have remained at FFBC all this time if it had deviated from biblical truths.

Exalting God, saving souls through the gospel of Jesus Christ, and building up the faith of believers is what FFBC is all about. We'd welcome anyone to come visit us and see for themselves.

I hope Mr Montoya learns from his faults and truly exalts God. As for the welcoming to visit the church, well, I'll pass. This Pastor has to grow biblically and place him self second.

This church had good potential, however it has lost credibility with many in the community. Like Jimmy Swaggart, this Pastor is falling from glory. Sad. I hope the leadership can repair what's left and truly grow in Christ word...

Interesting observations, but have you ever heard Pastor Montoya preach? Very biblically sound man, as are all of our pastors. Of course, we can all stand to grow in Christ and in His word.

However, comparing Alex Montoya to Jimmy Swaggart borders on character assasination, expecially since Swaggart admitted to adultery and had questionable religious teachings.

GOD keeps the human race in line(evil as we are.) And WE are evil! I'm sure God can keep animals in line. Animals aren't the issue though...Jesus Christ and His death on the cross is. God loves us, we should start loving Him, no? Peace out.

My pastor probably makes more money than you do with his job as a professor at Master's College. My pastor has a doctorate, do you? My pastor has his master's degree. Do you? So lets see he has 2 jobs. Do you? Your just a HATER! I feel sorry for you man. Its not about money, its about faith in Jesus Christ. When we all die money can't help any of us then, but Jesus Christ can be there for you. Trust Jesus. Peace out rbw

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Sagittarius

You still prefer to be in a world of your own, in which nothing nasty is happening, but at least you're feeling a little more realistic than you were yesterday. It's a perfect day for visiting somewhere beautiful, peaceful or relaxing, or for going to the cinema or an art gallery. But it will be difficult to get up the energy for any prolonged Christmas shopping.
