found out my local BoA ATM near my college had this ability, and tried it out. worked like a charm! its nice i dont have to make it during biz hours to go inside or when i dont have despoit slips.
but my main banking account will always be USAA Federal Savings, as they are the only ones I know who accept deposits by scanning checks online.
good info about the bank where you can scan checks online. i've never heard of that.

I hate the new machines...sometime it will not take my cash deposits, it just spits the money back out. I have complained a few times, how its incovenient to go in the bank and see the teller, when the machines should be able to take my cash. ATMs' are supposed to make your life a litle easier not harder and taking longer to make deposits is a pain in the butt!

I have been frustated by these new scan ATM's for months. It seems that some BOA branches received scan ATM's made by NCR and others received ones make by Diebold. No idea why BOA bought these from two different vendors. However, I get lots of checks to deposit and have learned for some reason the NCR ATMs are very "picky" and often reject more checks than they accept causing me to have to inside the branch. The Diebold ATMs seem to accept many types of checks the NCR won't. It's a mess and I find myself having to go inside branches and deposit checks manually I used to be able to put in an envelope and deposit at the "old" ATM with no problems. One would think BOA would text both of these models much more before rolling them out so quickly and making customers suffer. We seem to have taken a step back here, especially if your branch has one of the picky NCR models.
