Ah yes, now we have the self-elected forum police with the 'clever' little alias... Bottom line, nobody is forcing you to read this thread, get over it. I have to wonder how many different aliases you plan on posting under, I'm sure you realize you have a very distinct writing style.
I have never or never will post under different names. I will save that for you since you claim to be leaving for the next couple months. I am aware that people have writing styles. I will be looking for yours under whatever name you come up with.

You first claimed to know me and knew how I would respond. If you do know me then it would appear that the post you are responding to is you. It seems to me that your pathetic attempt of flattery and saying we should discuss this on another thread is a way for you to try and save face. Pride is ugly...just like your momma.

Do not respond to me on this thread. I do agree with you that this should not be the place for this. How do you think the family might be feeling? You are free to follow my account as I allow it to everyone. I am not scared...

You didn't do a "better" parenting job, you just got lucky.
Luck has NOTHING to do with it. I had God and plenty of prayers. I charged my angels to watch over me and my children and still do it to this day. There's something to be said about the power of prayer.

How else would I interpret...

That sound like to me you are calling me abusive. Don't back track now and start stuttering all over yourself because you got called on. You are wrong, MAN UP, and go about your day.
My whole point which you can't seem to get is that we have to be prepared and responsible. I do not look for perfection. God is not perfect because he made imperfect beings. I would not aspire to be better than God.(freakin' religious nut-job)
It just sound like it to me that you have some guilt that you are trying to excuse for. Hey, I understand that things happen. If you have read my posts in the past then you would know that I am very open about my life. You would also know that I have made quite my share of mistakes. I am not in any way condemning the parent in this story.
That is your lack of comprehension that is the problem. Get your head out of the Bible and the clouds and let me know when you get back the Earth.
Done, you are just wierd!! There is no talking to you because you think you are never wrong. Lord, am I glad I am not in your sick family. Whatever, it's not about you and your perfection. Go watch your perfect kids and be as rightious as you are.

I'm right there with you. I've said a prayer to my son's guardian angel every day of his life. Things have happened that alot of people would say are just coincidences, but I KNOW they weren't.

Says the person who think they are never wrong. You comment is a two way street. Our household is filled with love...You know nothing about my family and it is disturbing that you think you do. Stop worrying about me and give your little ones a big hug and be glad they are safe.

A lot of people pray to God to watch over their children and their outcome is not as fortunate as yours. Are you saying that their prayers are not as powerful as yours? Or will people who are not religious like you automatically have bad things happen to their children?
You seem to be inferring that this particular family didn't have your " divine intervention" and that takes a lot of nerve.

Maybe you should pray to stop being so arrogant and self righteous. Or take some medication.

First and foremost... I AM A PARENT...Have been for quite a while now. I have a child who is damn-near grown. So save your preaching for the choir.
YES, children can slip out of your sight, but, come on now, honestly, how long would you let your child out of your sight with a pool in the vicinity? YOU COULD NEVER PREACH TO ME ABOUT BEING A PARENT!!! I have done a PHENOMINAL job with my kids. MY CHILDREN strive for the better things in life, just as I have taught them. Even as a baby, my kids whereabout were ALWAYS known. Call me overprotective if you want, but that's the reason why tragic situations like this haven't found their way into MY household.
Am I better than this person, NO, not by far. I just watched my kids better, that's all.
I KNOW this father is never going to overcome this. I pray that God gives him peace of mind knowing that the child IS with Him now.
and by the way.... i don't really care who likes or doesn't like my comment. This is an opinion forum. Deal with it.
I hope you didn't teach your kids how to have a good attitude. I also hope you didn't teach them your writing skills. My guess is that your opinion of being a "phenominal" parent greatly differs with the opinion of most people. Just because you are able to raise a kid that is "damn-near grown" doesn't mean a thing. You won't win any parenting awards for that.

This seems like a good time to "be quiet," as we don't want gossip to upset the people involved with this tragedy. They are likely suffering enough. Our opinions don't count.

I never said my prayers were ANY more powerful than anyone elses. God hears the prayers of the just as well as the unjust. Don't get things twisted, DEAR, I'm not a Bible thumping religious nut that thinks if you wear red lipstick you should burn up like Sodem and Gomorah, but I do believe in the power of prayer. And I actually BELIEVE in what I'm praying for. I have FAITH that my prayer was heard and answered. So don't bring YOUR assumptions of who you think I am, pray for your own soul to receive some enlightenment because you just don't get it.

As a matter of fact, I DID teach my children to carry positive attitudes.
And as far as my writing skills are concerned, I won't play battle of wits with an unarmed person, sorry Scotty.
Not looking for ANY awards from you or ANYONE for that matter. Knowing that I have raised 2 FINE, UPSTANDING, LAW-ABIDING, EDUCATED, RESPECTFUL young men (who don't fall under the stereotypes most would label them with) gives me all the reward I need. So if MY opinion of being a good parent (see sentence right before for opinion) differs from most people (which I doubt, who doesn't want the best for their kids), then what's that to say about where this world is headed. And in this day and age with all of the craziness, having children to reach certain milestones IS an awesome accomplishment for a parent. So keep your little paper award, I'll receive mine WHEN I see my child do, say or create something that will change the world and when I see your low-life, uneducated, law breaking, disrespectful parasite of a child left in my child's dust.

Scott has you pegged. There seems to be a lot of issues with you - a bad attitude being the most obvious. I go back to my original thought - GET SOME MEDICATION!
