This doesn't seem so unlikely coming from the east islip school district. The more money children are being allowed to see, the worst the district becomes with drugs, gangs and vilence. Do we not remember the gang wars last year covered by news 12?

Cops can't trace the Text message to the sender??

Kids today have never had to be accountable for their actions...that's why their actions have escalated over the years.

Time -outs don't work as well as a kick in the butt.

the gang wars last year were nothing but a stupid rivalry between two groups in the school and it was totally reversed to make one group in particular look bad when they hadn't done a thing. all schools are the same rich or poor with gang violence, and/or drugs.

i go to this school and its a total lie but people are afraid.
it may happen friday after school. since the both schools, middle and high school, are right next to each other, it may be an advantage to attacker. "rumors" say that a bomb will attack the high school and at the middle school. the attacker is coming out of juvenile prison thursday night and getting ready for the upcoming day. the other "rumor" has it that a kid in the middle school has defaced a bathroom wall, with a hit list, that is if the attacker from the high school won't be able to attack. but then again these are all rumors and you know how they spread like wildfire.

this is probably all rumors.the kid has OSS for the whole year, so theres no way he could bomb the school....if hes not even allowed in school until january 2009. seriously, its probably not gonna happen. but like no ones going to school, and its a damn good excuse to have a 3 day weekend.

im currently in this school
typing this on a school computer
rumors are going around like crazy
my little brother is in the middel school and apparently he is " on the hit list" i just talked to an A.P of the high school and nothing is going on. this happened months ago with some canfrinatation not even on school grounds. He was not in south oaks or released from juvy. He is expelled from school until 2009 and is being carefully watched. he didnt even place a threat on the school in public, just to some other person when he was very angry. It was taken care of months ago.. so everyone shut up

especially you michael
this has nothing to with money you bastard

Got news for you folks, EI isn't the richie rich community it used to be 10 years ago. The place is a fecal container. The high schools is simply a holding cell for Home Depot and Suffolk Community College! Anytime I go there for a game, I see hoochie mamas sitting with their hoochie mothers. Nasty place nowadays. I'm moving to Sayville.

ALL YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT EAST ISLIP ARE JUST JEALOUS. I'VE BEEN HERE FOR OVER 30 YEARS. LEFT SAYVILLE AND ISLIP TO RETURN BACK BECAUSE EAST ISLIP IS A GREAT COMMUNITY AND THIS IS JUST A CRAZY RUMOR. YOU ALL WISH YOU COULD AFFORD TO LIVE HERE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY, WHY BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME COMMENTING ON SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. THIS GOES FOR ALL OF YOU PUTTING IN NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT EAST ISLIP.

Who the hell are you to stereotype my town like that? You see one person who you assume goes to East Islip and you think every person who lives there is trash? There are alot of people with potential to succeed in this district and East Islip has accomplished numerous achievements the past couple of years such as a Grammy nominated Music Dept. and our football team winning the 2007-08 Long Island Championship. Have fun in Sayville you stereotypical moron.

Any way, I think that kid should of been removed from the district and put into solitary confinement ever since those words came out of his mouth, It pisses me off how this kid thinks he can control the district like this and scare everyone, how many times did this kid do this? Don't you think its time to permanently get rid of him for good this time?!

Ryan: There is no such word as "alot". The proper way to spell what you mean is "a Lot". 2 words silly EI dope.
EAST ISLIP FOREVER: "IF YOU DON'T HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY," That my dear is a "double negative". What you are telling me, is that "I have everything to say", hence, "don't have nothing". If I didn't have "nothing", then I must have "everything". Great product from a great school! Go EI Football! Just be darn glad that Floyd isn't in your schedule.

wow, i thought this had to do with a bomb threat, not football but whatever.
I don't know why people keep saying this is a fake or not real. I'm very very close friends with the head of security for East Islip School District and, the possibility of this occcuring is very real.

People please get a grip. Why bash the town or the school district? The issue here is the bomb threat and shooting made by a very unstable student. No one is safe from this kind of predator no matter what town or school district you live in. As long as this person walks the streets none of us are immune to his threats. Who is to say where he may strike next?
It amazes me how small minded people can be instead of uniting against this form of terrorism. We all need to come together because one day sadly this can happen in your school district and bashing is certainly not a solution.
In my opinion, we should be more concerned as to why the judicial system has failed us by allowing this student to walk free. Yelling fire in a theater is a crime. This juvenile needs to be kept away from the human population. If he is gone unpunished it may create others to do the same for a day off of school. The children, parents and society have to take ALL threats seriously. Not suggesting it’s just a “rumor”. Haven’t we learned from the atrocity that took place in Columbine?
