How many times will these "Indian" read ( black) smoke shops continue to operate? It seems only yesterday one was closed for doing the same thing! I think it was the shinycocks. Most of the people that live on these reservations are black too. The Indians that succeed and prosper on Long Island don't live on the reservations.

What other nation in the world has reservations for the natives that lived there. All nations had them, people that lived on the land before the nation took over them. BUt here in the US we give them privalages, people should know when they have been conqured, but no we had to make treaties, for land of their own. If I walk into a reservation with my army why can I not take it over as if it is a nation and be the new ruler.

The reason so many indian women are married to blacks dates back in the Shinnecock Tribes History. Most of the actual Shinnecock men died when salavging goods from a shipwreck that had run aground, a common situation in colonial Long Island. The Shinnecock men wee routinely hired by salvagers to retrieve such goods, and in this one case most of the tribes men was caught on the wreck during a storm and drowned. The blacks then intermarried with the native women and produced what passses for Shinnecock Indians today. There are very few actual full blood indians left aong the Shinnecock.

The reason why Indians have treaties is because some native people were never conqured. The treaties were made to give us land so we would stop fighting. Our leaders were smart and didn't give in and now we have the tax free business opportunity. We no longer have to live on government hand outs.

Now, the United States acknowledge all the land within the aforementioned boundaries, to be the property of the Seneca Nation; and the United States will never claim the same, nor disturb the Seneca Nation, nor any of the Six Nations, or of their Indian friends residing thereon, and united with them, in the free use and enjoyment thereof; but it shall remain theirs, until they choose to sell the same, to the people of the United States, who have the right to purchase.

why dont they close that blank hole ! I grew up in mastic and left in the mid 90s . IN all that time nothing good came out of that place but drugs and crime . It would do alot of good for the people in the area if the state would close that joke down. I could never under stand the need for this reservation in mastic. I do think there is the need for reservations for native people , but the one in mastic is nothing more then a breeding ground for criminals.

So why can't I go into the land with an army conqure it and say that now it is my nation as a dictators have done in CUBA and other countries around the world.

All of you should get your facts straight first because the reservation does consist of many blood right members we do be long here so go get a life and stop being in other people business, we get harrassed because people are still racist and don't like us taking business from the outside. There are criminals all over the world maybe some on your street.
