Hemet Doctor Accused Of Sexual Battery

David J. Mata, a 51-year-old Hemet doctor, has been arrested on suspicion of sexual battery of female patients, a police lieutenant said. Mata was taken into custody Tuesday around 7:30 a.m. as he left his home in the Valle Vista area, according to Hemet police Lt. Jeff Pinney. Detectives have been investigating the doctor for several months after a number of patients complained about his behavior. These people are merely trying to make a living, and for those of you have given them a difficult time on the phones or in person - Shame on you!
As for the comment of the Sad Grandma, the victims are "alleged" victims - Dr. Mata hasn't been convicted yet.....

I am going to agree with mother of employee, he has not, and I don't believe will be, convicted. Doctor Mata is a good man who would not do these things that he has been accused of. As for the staff at the office, I can only say that I feel for them and what they are going through in this ordeal as well. But I pray that both the doctor and the staff may stay strong in this time.

I am very happy someone came up and said something, this doctor should not be allowed to practice medicine and should be a registerd sex offender. I do agree his staff should be left alone.

I and my family have been Dr.Mata'a patient for 10 yrs. He has been an excellant doctor for us in every way. We are stunned and heartsick at the accusations. We pray for all concerned and are hopeful for best. He has prayed at my bedside in the hospital and I pray for him now.

people never really know or understand when this happens, it"s like a child molester...you can have 3 kids and the molester will single one out and never touch the others,i hope this doctor is innocent and will be proven his innocents! people these days can not be trusted we live in hard times and people are despirate! they will do anything for a buck im not saying this is the case but take a lesson...never be alone with a minor or a woman!!! this goes for doctors,anyone in the medical field,teachers and law enforcement,and anyone who deals with the public..even apartment managers,people are vicious.i pray he will be found innocent but if guilty...he will need punishment! a doctor should never take advantage of a patient.

Never judge if u haven't walked in those peoples shoes. IF Dr. Mata is guilty, then i think he should rot in prison. However,if he is innocent he shoul be publicly cleared of his innocence and be offered an apology.@ the end of the day truth or no truth God is the judge!!!!!

This wasn't one woman, it was several women coming forward. I commend them as I know it can be difficult to do that. It had also been investigated for months. To think that a person is a 'Christian' so therefore this could not happen is wrong. Many horrible things have been done by Christians! I have known Dr. Mata for over 10 years now and there is not one doubt in my mind that he did this. He is a strong man of God who cares so much for everyone. His goal in life is to use his gifts to honor God. He has been through so many trials in the last years and this is just one more. It will make him stronger. Hello..........he is NOT ruined! He is still practicing medicine and innocent until proven guilty. People get falsly accused all the time and life still goes on. He will rebuild and move on. He is a smart man, and is NOT ruined. Have some faith.

If it was one patient maybe I would see this is not true But several come on what there all just telling a story Thats sick ok
I know one thing I dont see any doctors out in this hemet area there all horrible doctors and that hemet hosp will kill you.
