"Thank God this parole is dead." Although I can understand the frustration with the 'Criminal Justice System?' of our country, that the first respondent feels, I don't think that it justifies the remark that was made. We certainly have a Justice system, which is 'FUBAR'(a nice way of putting it would severely broken), killing is nothing to thank God for. Sometimes, as in this case, it is justified & necessary; but "Thank God" seems to be a celebratory comment and is realy not justifiable. I seriously doubt that the Deputy who had to take another's life feels very good about it!

are you the gun toting immature jerk cop who shot the parolee, or a relative of the cop? i thought cops try unlethal force first, like a stun gun or a dog. looks like aanother law suit here.

Cow Town USA....Are you kidding me? At stun gun aimed at a car? What do you want....to cause an electrical outage to stop the car!
A dog? What do you want the dog to do, chase the car and bite the tires until they pop!
Now who's being ridiculous. I agree that the Thank God part is a bit over the top but when will people realize that there is a consequence to their actions. I am sure the officer did what he had to....and that's that.

So, report released and offically this man, the parolee, was shot and killed for not having a front license plate! Cops are cleared in yet another murder committed by stupid criminal act of a cop! I see no end in sight.
This reasonable folks? I know it is to the good "christians" who celebrate the death of a doctor guilty of saving countless womens lives.
I saw we got a new captian, but promoted from within. No solution there.
Be EXTREMELY cautious around Temecula PD and Riverside Sherriff dept. They are a large group of armed unstable racists. Any who don't fit this category, and there may be a couple, are required to play the same game or face the same thugs we must. These goons must be fired and start from scratch!

Tim was a freind of mine. I don't believe the story of Tim trying to ram a police officer. Tim may have been trying to evade the officer, when he was gunned down. I hope they take it to court and the officer is sentenced to life. This is the third officer shooting I have heard in Riverside county this year. Downtown Temecula, Weiwick near the liquor store and this one. The cops seem to be trigger happy and always get away with it.

What a waste of air!

May you meet the same fate, SOON!

Then your "boys" will have to find their own booze. That has to be your reference!

Remember Kurtz, legal age is 18. Even if your IQ is 12, you can still buy your own.

Enjoy your pitiful existance.

Maybe the next time a minor infraction will cost you "God Bless the Sherrif" your life. I hardly believe a missing front lisense plate justifies taking a life. This officer is a murderer!!!

The last time I checked, a truck barrelling down on you is a DEADLY WEAPON, and that certainly justifies the use of deadly force by law enforcement. Too bad this "parolee" and "good guy" had to die, but that was HIS choice. If he had simply stopped being an idiot, he would still be alive today (of couse, in prison, and draining us all of our tax money). And the article does not state that he had no front plate on the truck, but STOLEN plates on the truck. Some good guy. I hope all of you people who think that cops are all out to get you need the police to help you one day, like when a "parolee" and "good guy" shows up at your house to do harm to you and your family. I also hope that they get there in time, and resolve the situation, saving your lives and/or property. Maybe then you will see the benefit we all get from having police officers to keep us safe. The only reason to fear the police is if you have something to hide, or have broken the law. Period.

Mechanic is guessing as to what really happened. The cops set up at a position and sniped him with most likely a rifle from a distance. Just goes to show cops like mechanic can bullshit there way around the truth. Also if the chase lasted 8 miles, that may be only max 8 minutes before Time was gunned down. I call if murder. Period.

To Mechanic:
I believed for over 50 years exactly as you do, "that the only reason to fear the police is if you have done something wrong", but then 2 years ago I was stopped for speeding in Temecula and what happened next changed my opinion forever. I made the mistake of getting out of my car to talk to the officer when I was stopped. I thought that was the right thing to do. The next thing I knew I was kicked to the ground, punched in the back, yanked around and arrested. I ended up in the hospital. I did not fight. I have never been in a fight. I am a middle-aged woman and a community volunteer. The police report that he submitted must have been something on file that he just dropped my name into. He wrote quite a story to justify his bizarre behavior. He somehow managed to get another officer to write a report to back him up (a person that I never saw); I guess so he wouldn't be reprimanded for going so far and that I ended up in the hospital. Because this happened to me I know for sure that the police here are corrupt. I also know that going to their superiors to complain would only put you in the line of fire. It's a very scary thing. Maybe some people exaggerate what the police have done, I don't know. I just know I did not. And because of my bad experience, I tend to believe that a lot of citizens are being mistreated by the police. It's something that bears investigation. And it may be something you should consider. Just because they wear a badge doesn't mean they can be trusted. I made that mistake but I will never make it again.
