So when the lake turns green again this year and little kids are getting infections from taking swimming lessons there, let's all remember that these people think that spray-on-lawn is more important. I guess business IS more important...

Don't forget, the propsed ban was to ban the SALE and use in ALL EAST HAMPTON. Who do they think they are, telling Shaw's, P&S, Ace what they can and can't sell?? And, what does someone living in MH have to do with your green lake? They might have considered it if it wasn't sop far reaching.

The lake has a watershed, I can see banning use within it. And while towns can ban a store from selling certain things in their town, but that's not going to work here. Ban use by location, not for the whole town.
Of course when you can't keep dirt bikes off Main St., you're shoveling against the tide with "please don't pollute the lake".

OK. Then make the ordina nce just aroun the lake. I bet this anti-lake town council would still be against it. I heard that they supported it all along but it loo ks like they only pretended to until they could get their ducks in a row to vote it down.
Who's this guy Paul that the council takes orders from? One of the good old boys in town probably.
Looks like this is the do-nothing-all-talk to wn council. The previous Chatter town council talked talked talked but atleast they got SOME things done.
And for the person who lives in MH, I guess you don't care about the lake at all then because you don't live in EH? A healthy lake benefits everyone in EH, MH, and Cobalt doesn't it? What about our proper ty values? What about our kids getting lake ear aches?

I've lived in town almost 20 years and the lake has been green almost every year. The state came up with a great idea to get rid of the green and got rid of the fish instead. Ban the use in the watershed. Also what town is just north of the lake - are we going to tell them they have to ban fertilizer also? Seems like one of the genius from UConn or the State DEP could come up with a solution
