Inkel, you are an idiot.

Its heroin, not heroine.

"Heroine" refers to a woman noted for courage and daring action or the principal female character in a novel, poem, or dramatic presentation.

Okay seriously this is ridiculous.. Don't talk shit online, you don't know me you have no right to say anything about me. I have never in my life done heroin and never would. And yea i did have a party a few years ago and most of you were probably there, but did i put a gun to someones head? No. And yea i got expelled from school for a fucking 10 piece of pot and i bet you most of the people writing on this have smoked pot before. So don't pretend you know me because you don't know anything about me. Don't make comments about my parents because you don't know them either and they did not know i was dating a 20 year old. So seriously stop talking shit online if you have something to say about me say it to my fucking face.

I'll continue to monitor your posts before I make up My mind Mr. Inkel. Thus far I get the sense that you have a sense of humour and the ability to be humble. These are as good characteristics worthy of recognition and sorely lacking in most people. I guess what alarms me the most about you is the YouTube video you posted some time ago. In my humble opinion, it didn't seem like a very good for some of those appearing with you in the video.

And you can call me Ahmed. No need to be so formal.

What happened to the town? Why would theis 'Nick' person do this...Are all you people out of your goddamn heads???

Where did it say this robber was from E. Haddam? Where did it say it was 'Nick B'? Maybe it was, but seriously, is this 17th century fucking Salem, Mass?

One poster says it's "probably" this individual, and the following 43 posters have him tried and convicted without knowing if he was even in the countery at the time.

Good friggin' god, go drink some kool aid.

Thank God someone is not as naive and as uninformed as the rest of you. What good does it do to place blame on other people? If none of you were involved in this bank robbery why does it matter who was? Stop placing blame based on gossip and rumors, if you have any information contact Troop K, 537.7500, and if your information isn't concrete enough to base a statement on then why are you broadcasting it on the internet?

Sounds like both of these kids have drug problems...All the neighbors of the Bauer have been through hell for years. And his girlfriend Sarah's neighbors have had their share of headaches too. Sarah had a huge party a couple of years ago, and a kid actually brought a gun and put it up to another kids head and was arrested. Sarah was also expelled from Hale Ray High School for having drugs on her. After all this her parents still allow a 16 yr. old to date a 20 yr old thief and herione addict. Great parents or what? I think both the Bauer's and Dente's need to take control of their children, because these kids need some guidance.
I have lived in East Haddam all my adult life. It is the most beautiful wonderful town in Connecticut. Yes there is a heroin problem that has effected a handful of kids but has caused TREMENDOUS problems especially for these kids and their poor parents. I can;t even tell you how bad I feel for the parents mentioned in this article. I know them, our kids grew up together playing little league and scouts. It is so easy to blame. I pray all of those bloggers who have ridiculed the families. THERE BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD GO YOU!!!! I almost hate reading these blogs because it ends up the ranting of extremely unhappy negative individuals. Pray for these children and their families. you can not even imagine the hell they are going thru. There is no school or class that prepares you for this hell that these kids, their parents, family and friends are going thru watching them, unable to stop them. T

What people don't realize is there is literally no treatment available for these individuals because they do not have health insurance. They go to jail, go through detox. I am told it is easier to get heroin in prison than on the streets. They receive NO SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT. NONE. Then they come out and go right back to it. Tax dollars for jail only goes towards warehousing not solving the addiction problem.

EH Reader. You are so right. I am shocked that people openly name people. Would you like that. If you were in this situation would that help you. Courant why are you allowing bloggers to openly slander people??? Swearing isn't ok but slander is. Where is your brain?? If I were the families names in this blog I would be calling my lawyer this minute.

Ahmed, right or wrong I do not know. However my family and I have endured much injustice at the hands of multiple corrupt Connecticut public officials. To date, the crimes committed against my family including my children have been covered up by Connecticut's current authorities despite enough evidence to reasonably believe that crimes did occur and those persons identities that committed them are known.

I will drink kool aid to that. You are right. Nick nor anyone else for that matter should not have their name smeared in public absent any evidence or formal charge. There is a heroin addiction problem in this town like so many others all across America. Most if not all of the younger people in this town are gosh darn good people even the dopers. None of those infected woke up one day and said they are going to be a heroin addict. I think it is a crying shame that for many of these kids it is easier for them to get dope than it is to get effective treatment. It is a further shame that the authorities of this state cannot stop the flow and mass marketing of imported heroin. Apparently there is not enough will. Alquedah does not have to hide in the middle east they can all come to Connecticut and become dope dealers and money launderers and be perfectly safe from the authorities.

Nick Bauer has been through both jail and rehab, and neither of them has helped him with his problem. This is the case for millions of other addicts all across the nation as well. Shouldn't this be a sign that our system is failing?

Our government spends tens of billions of dollars every year fighting a "war on drugs" that is thus far powerless in stopping hard drug abuse (and related crimes such as this) from spreading to once-peaceful rural towns like East Haddam. As a lifelong resident, I can safely say that heroin is far more prevalent here now than even 5 years ago. When are we going to learn that going to "War" with drugs is nothing but a waste of money?

Prohibition of drugs only creates a black market and artificially inflates the price by over a thosuand percent. Heroin that costs pennies to produce in Afghanistan costs tens of dollars in America. Since we obviously can't prevent people from doing drugs, we might as well make it so that they don't have to rob banks, houses, cars, and churches to be able to afford them.

Also, I have known Nick since childhood. He and I are the same age. Believe it or not, Nick was always a nice kid. He was good at music and sports too. If anyone here thinks that he WANTS to be addicted to heroin they're crazy. If he could quit, he would, but he can't, and neither can most smack addicts.

We need to start offering real help to people like this. The current prison and rehab systems are a joke. Nick is a perfect example of how effective they are at straightening out young addicts.
