After voters removed him from Quakertown Council Board last week, will Dave now focus on building his case for County Commissioner, or to replace Paul Clymer as 145 State Rep?
Will he force out the 145th UBD leadership which failed to back his election efforts? |

1 The electorate can only hope that the 145th Dems will clean house after the Reps did a clean sweep of their own. Not supporting Dem candidates because of personal prejudices that had nothing to do with rational behavior should not go unnoticed or unpunished.maybe a new regime can get it right for a change. |

1 They don't back many election efforts. They fail to support and they never stump. No mailings, no money and they never ask County for help. |

Was lack of money an issue this year? Diane Marseglia consults Dave Zaiser regularly, why couldn't she direct more county moeny to him to assure his victory? Very disappointing must be a lack of good communication.

||||
If you feel so strongly about cleaning house, run for committeeperson next year in your ward. Every member of the Bucks County Democratic Committee is up for re-election in 2010. |

Be careful what you wish...Q-town and Richland D's need a change..we will go now here with the present regime in there

her secretary Robin is the great communicator, just goes to show, licking boots still gets you nowhere. Methinks he's only the consultant in his own mind or perhaps DM gave him the big brush |
||||
Mr. Zaiser was never a committee person and therefore attended meetings without the agreement of confidentiality. |
||||
That can be said of most of the candidates that ran out of the 145. Not very many got a good suport system. The last one was Tom peterson who got full court press , lost money and lost the race. |

The BCDC provided seed money for several Upper Bucks candidates, including David Zaiser. The 145th ADDO made the full resourses of the UBCDO at 328 W. Broad St. available to ALL Democratic candidates in Upper Bucks, and several of the campaign committees for other candidates met there.
It is up to the local municipal organizations to decide how they will support local candidates, not the 145th ADDO. The Quakertown Democrats made a financial contribution to the three Quakertown Democratic Council candidates. It is the responsibility of the candidates themselves to organize and fund their own campaigns. I ran for Supervisor in Springfield Township proudly as a Democrat, and lost badly. I didn't connect enough with the voters before hand. It's easy to blame Democrats for not coming out to vote. It's harder to do a self-analysis WHY voters in general did not turn out. No issues, no voters. My own campaign was derailed in the final 10 days by a mailing to virtually ALL Springfield Township voting households implying that my wife Mary, a candidate for Auditor, and I had criminal records. We spent 10 days and remaining campaign resources defending our honor and reputations that, win or lose, we will carry with us forever. Lots of reasons for losing an election. Monday morning quarterbacking is for observers. If you want to play an effective game, watch the training films and develop a game plan. |

To clarify where I am coming from on my last posting:
I'm Deputy Chair of the 145th ADDO, and Outreach Coordinator for the UBCDO. Both are elected by committeepeole of the 145th ADDO. I am also a committeeperson for Springfield Township Middle Precinct. We all stand for election in Spring 2010. |

1 Sorry, I missed this post. David is more than welcome to run for Democratic Committeeperson from his Quakertown District in Spring 2010, and then run for the Chair of the 145th ADDO. Unlike the local Republican Party, we ELECT our leaders, even at the local level. We even have PRIMARY elections with more than one candidate. I believe that David will get support from local Democrats, including myself, in the future. It may not be unqualified, undying support for whatever he choses to do; we're Democrats. We're not leemings. |

David Zaiser had his opportunity. Time to move aside for a younger more energetic future. He should run for committeeman in the 3 Ward if he feels he can do better job.

1 The Ds are not listening all over America we the majority don't want more government i wish you guys would get that. |

On the local and county level it has little to do with /Washington.
This is about local boredom with candidates like Zaiser and McGettigan. John Flynn was our best candidate but as a write in candidate he did not put forth the same effort he may have had he actively sought the position.

1 They need to listen to voters and stop all the wasteful spending. Yeah Health care is bad but it will get far worse if the government runs it with a public option just look at medicare. Medicare is spending more then they bring in and the Ds want more of that give me a break. |

1 gee, what was I thinking.... The Democrats should listen to a bunch of right-wing hillbillies from Haycock. They have all the answers... |
||||
What do you propose as reasonable health care(emergency service only is not reasonable)for those that cannot afford a private policy, gov't subsidized body bags? |

1 His ability to communicate with people of all walks of life will take him far above local politics. He has said that position on borough council was small potatioes and only a start point for his political career. Dave we thank you for all you do. |
||||
|
I am sure that Dave appreciates the thank you but I really doubt he called his time as a borough councilmember small potatoes. That is just not his type of dialogue.
