There are many things to ponder, and many lessons to be learned:
We are not supposed to follow any man, but to be transformed by the living word.
There were signs present, but they were over looked by many in the flock (although many did speak up and left the church before all this happened). Ask yourselves what are you going to do different next time?
True, we are all humans, however Pastors are to be held to a higher standard. Our job is not to judge but to be about the work of the Lord, he can handle Geoff w/o anyone's help.
Get involved in your next church (that's right don't use this as an excuse to drop out), go to the budget meetings, ask questions, look at the books, make the leadership accountable, Go over every expense with a fine tooth comb, raise hell if necessary. If there's too much resistance, bring it into the open w/o gossip and strife, just the facts to the appropriate people), then find another church if you aren't satisfied......... Step up to the plate where ever you go and quit whining about Geoff. take responsibility ...Stop gossiping, get up off your butts, and keep moving forward, that's an example the community and your families need to witness.

I am stunned. I have been to Harvest numerous times, and was always impressed by the people and the LACK OF JUDGMENT that was there, or so I thought, that I felt there. I do not agree with infidelity. But, I do believe in the WORD of GOD. What happened to all of you? Yeah, Geoff did something wrong- Doesn't GOD say "judge not the sinner but the sin"? I sympathize with the families, I know what infidelity feels like. I, too, have been a SURVIVOR of that. Tara - You make am excellent point, I want to be clear, I am not judging the pastor, God knows that could happen to anyone. I am simply disgusted with the individuals on here threatening bodily harm to anyone who has a problem with Harvest. I personally had a bad feeling about some things involivng the way the church was run, maybe my intuition was wrong. I do hope the best for all involved, but for the ones one here acting all tough in the name of God.... Good luck with that, I see you've disappeared, conveniently...

Thank you, Ben for understanding where I was coming from. But, I am not sticking up for the "people from Harvest", not that you implied that. I just wanted to make myself clear. I am so disappointed with them as well. Especially those, as you said, that are mentioning anything about bodily harm. IF we are to walk in CHRIST'S footsteps, then HOW exactly are we supposed to do that by suggested we are going to beat someone up because they said something we didn't like? WHAT ARE WE 5YRS OLD? Are we not supposed TO OFFER THE OTHER CHEEK? LIKE JESUS? COME ON PEOPLE!!! How are we to show people about how Christians act, when the group of us are acting like this? Not all, just some, but still?!?!

I remain in prayer, and this is what GOD has put on my heart to say to everyone who has ears to hear and eyes to read. I am nobody to listen to, I am only me. BUT, GOD IN HIS WISDOM IS TRYING TO TELL YOU TO CHECK YOUR ANGER, YOUR TONGUE AND YOUR SPIRIT, LEST YOU BE JUDGED HARSHLY. I love all of my Harvest family. And I am extremely sorry all this happened.
