Tax credit doesn't belong only to the first time buyers. What about all the owners that have done everything right, not buy more then they can afford, pay their mortgage, pay their taxes, maintain their property, etc...?
All mortgage holders should get a tax break, we have been pushed to the tax breaking point and WE are the ones paying for this "tax break" for others!
Let's be fair...bailout for banks and rich executives, breaks to those who buy and were going to buy anyways, all on the burden of who.... yes, the tax payers...
Attention Buyers!!!: the reality is the the tax break keeps the home prices artificially high and does not bring them down to where they should be so it is the sellers that are walking away with the extra $8K in profit!!!

Why, I agree with you. Now that the Star program is being cancelled taxes will be higher than ever. As even when the Star was initiated taxes were raised and they are still being increased.
