Retention Bonus For CSC Laid Off Emloyees

There was a contract that was signed between CSC and the employees to receive a bonus check on the day of their last check following the release date. Now here it is, Employees have been out of work for a week and CSC is claiming some sort of error in the exit process of all the employees that stayed until the last day of the contract.CSC has been telling laid off employees that they are going to have to wait until the 24Th to receive any money that was contracted to them to be received on the 10Th.There has been so many calls made to the HR dept and no one knows why or how this is happening. All of these people including myself need this money to live from day to day since we did keep our end of the contract and stayed until march 31 to help process work and calls until the very end, In doing this we did not find other jobs and this has left us with no income and no jobs at this point, the thing that has kept us in hopes of making it was this retention bonus and now we are being told that its going to be 2 more weeks, Well i know 2 weeks could mean an eviction for most of us, hungry kids, power shut off, canceled insurance, late fees on car payments,When all this happens who is going to be there to fix this for the employees that trusted CSC and made good on their part of this contract with CSC. I know CSC wont pay late fees on bills or personally call landlords and explain their paperwork errors to prevent evictions or utilities being shut off. A contract is there to protect all involved that's why anyone involved signed this contract, now that this money is not being paid on time makes us wonder was it an error in paper work that should be so easy to fix in the day where computers do all the work, or is it that CSC is a company that is only about the almighty dollar and in not paying employees this money on time and holding it for 2 more weeks would be a lot of interest in CSC's bank account. If they are paying all these employees this retention money it has to be at least a MILLION plus in retention money and that's a lot of INTEREST. So as i sit unemployed i guess i will sit and hope that this company makes good on this contract since a lot of kids and families are depending on this to live in depressing economic time when money is not easy to come by!
