Gun-smuggling crackdown inhibited by a gun-friendly culture

Full story: TwinCities.com

It seemed a fortuitous alignment of justice and politics, George Iknadosian's trial beginning just as President Barack Obama called for new attention to the flow of weapons from the United States to the drug cartels inside Mexico.

The figures here are skewed. The real number of guns they are using from the US is about 30 percent. Most of the guns come from south of Mexico. A lot of the rifles also come from the aid the US government has given to Mexico for the corrupt police departments. There is a simple solution regarding Mexico. The US government needs to seal our border. Nothing goes in or out except at legal access points. this would be too simple.
I see a lot of news media bias regarding guns bans. There are more people killed with knives, cars, alcohol, drugs than with rifles. I don't see the news media going after those issues. Of course not. It is not sensational enough.
Also regarding Mexico. Illegal aliens come to this country and immediately go on welfare. If they are in a car accident, they sue when it is their fault. They have no drivers license or insurance. Illegals cost billions a year. Gee, go to Mexico, drive down the road. A Mexican policeman will stop you for doing nothing wrong and extort money from you on the spot. If you don't pay, you go to jail.
Let's call a spade a spade. Mexico is the problem. Not the sales of legally sold rifles in the US. Funny, it is OK for the US government to arm countries with so called aid. But if a gun dealer makes a sale to someone who sells it to someone else, something he has no control over. He is made a criminal. Sounds like socialism to me.
If we are so concerned about the problems of Mexico, let the Mexicans fix their own country and get rid of their corrupt Government and Police.

Why would they need an anti-gun rally in the UK? Didn’t they ban guns there?

They are not "illegal firearms"-
They are "undocumented tools". "Firearms" is such a 'cruel' term to use!

First thing is secure the borders bring in the National guard if you have to. NO illegals get in at all. This will stop the flow of guns. And then P-BO will not have a reason to try and take my pistols and my AK47's away.

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Aries

You'll be in a better position to get on well with someone who has power or authority over you. This might be your boss, some other authority figure, a friend you really respect or an older relative. Maybe you should chat up your superiors at the office Christmas party... or make more of an effort to understand what makes a certain person tick.
