Wow, 3 posts and already the supreme white american faction has already chimed in. I think that it may have been Alise Becker's hourly egg sandwich and witchcraft supply delivery van. Lord knows she can't go an hour without stuffing some M&Ms or a bagel into her face. Hey slim, next time remember "NO SPORTS IS NOT AN OPTION" and stop eating when you get to your fingers.

Spur Drive is no place for kids to be riding bikes! It's dangerous. I'd never let me children ride their bikes there. Did Mom allow him to ride his bike there? I'm glad the boy is okay, The doctors did say he will be fine. Is she just looking to sue someone?

Blmae it on the kid...how typical. If she's looking for someone to sue I wouldn't blame her one bit. Fortunately the kid wasn't more severely injured and left for dead by this sc*mbag.

How intelligent. Why do you care so much? Is it because you're so miserable in your own life that you need to pick a group of people to focus on to make yourself feel better?

I hope this works out OK but there are a lot of stories up in which the dark-complected people are the bad guys and nobody can leave a comment.

Great agenda here, Newsday. Shield the bad, the third-world, and the non-white scum.

These people will never come forward if they haven't been caught yet. Maybe they feel the child was in the wrong and got what he deserved. I know, I know, that's not the right thing to do or the right way to feel but you have to admit sometimes these kids who are riding around the streets are taking chances that would curl their parents hair if they only knew. The pedestrian or bicyclist may have the "right of way" but without sidewalks and bike lanes they take their lives into their own hands when they ride and walk in the roadways. I can't tell you how many times I've thought to myself "Where is that kids mom or dad?"
I'm not sure what kind of "closure" the mother is talking about, the facts are the facts, the boy was hit and hurt badly and the dirvers left the scene of the accident. I can't imagine that knowing who did it would change a thing unless it's a question of insurance or a lawsuit like someone else had suggested.

If you don't have any words of support for this child or mother take your inferiority complex and comments to another forum.

Are you for real. This person who hit and ran is the ultimate lowest unimaginal form of humanity there could be. The fact that you would question the victims mom and not the criminal puts you pretty far down on that list of humanity as well.

Hey idiot, as you call yourself, there was a friggin' stop sign at the crossing where the kids crossed. Take your head out of your ___ for 5 minutes and actually get some of the details before you let words out of that big hole on you face.

I don't think anyone here disagrees with the fact that the hit and run was wrong. Not all hits are the "victims" fault nor are they the drivers fault. You weren't there so you didn't see what happened so the fact that there was a stop sign there makes no difference. The issue is LEAVING the scene. That was wrong and as I stated before I don't think you will find out who it was. By this time they are afraid of getting put in jail which is where they belong after leaving the scene no matter who was at fault. What kind of "closure" does your "nephew" need?? Personally I think that's his mom talking not him.

I agree with the post that kids shouldn't be riding thier bikes on dangerous roads.Doesn't mean the person should ever leave a child they've hit of course.Thats pretty low and inhumane. It's so dangerous riding bikes on any road.My kids are always fighting me but I wont give in.I don't want them paralized or dead.I hope this little boy is ok and they catch the person responsible.
