Great buddy! Obviously you dont live here and have never! Some people actually like this town and dont need garbage like you bashing them. I hope it makes you sleep better tonight knowing you got to say something negative about Mastic again. I dont even live in the town but I know many hard working honest people that do. I guarantee if you were not hiding behind your computer these things would not be said to someone from mastic to their face! GROW UP!!

Couldn't they honor him with a street sign in another town? I mean really.......they want to "honor" him right? Why not name a street in Wading River after him? That would be honorable.
Condolences to the family and thank you very much for your dedicated service.
I couldn't agree more.

Hope you didn't graduate from Mepham with that grammar. You would make our alumni embarrased with these posts.

This man and so many others made the ultimate sacrafice for all of us. I am glad they are paying tribute to him. Everyone should be thankful to all our fine men and women involved in the fire department. They put their lives on the line everytime no matter if it is day or night...not for themselves...but for us. God bless ALL the families who lost a loved one on 9/11....We will NEVER FORGET!!!

Good point. They should have done it in a more honorable area of Long Island.
You represent your community well. I’m sure you’re dumb enough to take my comment as a complement. I would have used the word dim rather than dumb; however, something tells me you wouldn’t comprehend that word.

Every community on Long Island has their good and bad / Village of Lake Grove recently, Massapequa last week, and E. Rockaway has also made headlines in the past. Get beyond this nonsense, and show some respect and appreciation for a person who gave his life to help others. Where a person comes from should not negate the good one has accomplished in their life. If your name is not a 3 letter word, you have no right to judge. My prayers and best wishes to the family who lost their loved one.

I always find it amusing that when anything of a good or bad nature happens in areas like yours, or any of your other childish friends that say negative things, that you don't see anyone from our area going out of their way to bash where you live. You and your friends really need to do some serious soul searching, and show some respect to the people who gave their lives for the sole purpose of saving others.

You tell them Tony!!! It amazes me how insensitive and uncaring some of these people who post comments. This man and SO MANY OTHERS gave their lives for ALL of us and this guy can call someone he doesn't even know "white trash". This is the reason why the world is the way it is today....very sad.

For any one who has a problem with mastic i would just like to let u know that he loved it hear n was very happy with his family who i have known all my life he was a volunteer in the mastic fire dept. not because he hated this town but because he loved it. He was a loved n very well respected man who i honor with all my heart. As for the sign that they put up in his name the ceremony was nice with his whole family there including his brothers from the mastic f.d. n from the fdny hazmat company he would b honored n im sure proud to have his name there. SO BEFORE YOU RUN UR MOUTH KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKIN ABOUT.
N Kevin we will miss you with all our heart n we are watching your family for you.
