I actually don't think this is a bad idea. It's an easy, safe way for us Military families to transport our furry companions every time we have to relocate. Luckily I've driven to all of our duty stations - but there's no way in hell I'd ever put my dogs in the cargo hold. I'd buy them tickets on here before I was that cruel.

Great idea - I prefer to spend my hard-earned money on my beloved pets, rather than on the number of "teeming, unwashed masses" of humans cluttering up the planet. LOL:)) I wish the owners luck with their new business venture.

That is a FABULOUS idea. I would never put my pet in the cargo of a plane, would sooner drive cross country if I had to. I would rather pay the extra money to have my pet travel on PetAirways. Great idea for people who love their animals!!!

Aaaahhhh, this is the kind of article Newsday welcomes comments on. The street brawl in Brentwood; not so much!: "Cops: 4 students hurt in Brentwood brawl, 3 arrested"

But the misuse of police resources continues. Every day there are three of four home invasions/drive by shootings but the police, they're out on the water, randomly stopping boaters and checking for expired flares.

Pathetic. Politically correct and completely opposite common sense.

I love it!!! If I could afford to fly my 75lb dog up to NY especially LI I'd do it! I hope this business continues to thrive especially in today's economy!

I had a companion animal for a seizure disorder.(A condition which is now controlled with medication that wasn't available when I was younger.) My family was forced to drive to all our destinations when traveling or I was forced to "do without" and board my dog. "doing without" meant that I had to be accompanied by a friend or relative at all times, and was limited in my activities. All because dogs do so badly when flying as "cargo" on commercial airlines. It is very difficult for people with disabilities to travel with their companion animals. I am glad there is now a service for those who need it.

I would much rather spend my money on animals over people sucking off the government teat because they, and generations like them, are too lazy to work.

another example of people caring more about animals then their own fellow humans. its crazy how much money we spend in this country on animals. like when humans were dying in new orleans and all you people cared about was the stupid dogs.
I'd rather spend money on my dogs that some undeducated/lazy on the welfare dime waste of society who is expecting their handout.

You can go sing goombaya with the welfare crew sounds like you have a profound respect for them.
