I heard about the dog fighting on the news and the reporter said that the Fannin County Sheriff's Office has evidence that he was fighting dogs for 30 years. Does anyone know how they have evidence that he was doing this for 30 years?...Give up?...I'll tell you. It is because Al White lives 810 feet from Fannin County Sheriff George Ensley. Wow,...imagine that all that evidence for thirty years and no arrest. Why not bust him sooner? Could the Sheriff be in on it? Is he on the take? How would a competent Sheriff not know that an illegal dog fighting ring was less than 1000ft away from him? That's like the Sheriff living less than a 1/4 mile from a pot field. That just doesn't happen with a competent sheriff and investigators. Fannin County NEEDS A CHANGE!!!!

It seems that this is the norm with these backwoods dog fighters. Sheriff Brown in Newport News, VA HAD to know that Michael Vick was fighting dogs too, as he and the criminal Poindexter have done everything they could do to keep from charging Vick with his criminal behavior. Newport News needs to clean their government up, and I hope the decent people in Blue Ridge remember what Sheriff Ensley has been overlooking when it comes time to vote for Sheriff in your county.

Anybody that would do this to dogs is a monster, and I just hope this guy doesn't get by with a slap on the wrist. He needs to PAY dearly for what he has been doing.

Dogfighting_Politics here's how I see it. I know both candidates as well and our citizens have got to make a crucial decision. If you think there's nothing wrong with a SHERIFF knowing about illegal activities and doing nothing about it then your moral compass is as screwed us as his. And let's not mention the lawsuits that the current Sheriff has been the subject of. We need a man of integrity and honesty. I have lived in this county for far too many years and I have witnessed illegal activities and I have done my job as a citizen by reporting them with much to my surprise they have not been acted on. The deputies aren't even held accountable for their actions or non-actions. It's time for someone to grow a spine and do something about it. Dogfighting_Politics you need to have your moral compass calibrated. You right about one thing...it is about the BETTER MAN for the job. If no one throws a stone and a poor built glass house doesn't break,...then you cannot rebuild it. This glass house called the Fannin County Sheriff's Office needs to be rebuilt....toss.

Well, if the sheriff wasn't in on it and the illegal activity was literally taking place in his back yard and he could not figure it out either he was a coward for not making an arrest earlier in the past terms that he has been in office or he is incompetent. I've seen and heard a lot of stuff in my life, but illegal activities going on in the back yard of the sheriff and nothing happening...c'mon people I don't know what the fairies look like in your world, but you need to wake up. All voters/citizens of Fannin County need to WAKE UP!!! Quit turning a blind eye because you are afraid of retaliation from them. Law Enforcement should be working for the citizens and the citizens should have the freedom to develop an opinion about their county GOVERNMENT/law enforcement. It's ok to say they suck. It's ok to say they are incompetent because #1 it's the truth and #2 you are guaranteed that right under the US Constitution. I know both men too, who don't? Albert Glenn White deserves to be put away for a long time. What he lacks in conscience, he also lacks in courage. He obviously is too much of a coward to get into the ring himself. People are getting tired of dealing with losers like Albert White and are fighting for tougher laws. I also agree the Sheriff made himself look very incompetent for not doing something sooner. He made himself and his department look bad in front of the whole country. The people of Blue Ridge deserved better.

well first no one has been convicted of anything. hsus used dogfighting to shut down another breeder. this is thier goal.thier main dog fighting expert has been barred from testifying as an expert in 3 trials in a years time. thats a problem. when the man who say based on my knowledge u should arrest these people as fighters. then is rejected by 3 judges as an expert. thats is rather odd. then the town sheriff never saw any dog fighting? but hsus got a tip that the fbi nor the cops or the sheriff got?
