Bryn Eyre, the new city to be built in New Morgan borough

The preliminary development plan is available for the public to view at the New Morgan borough office. 12,500 units are proposed which will equal about 40,000 new residents. The city will strech from rt. 176 to rt. 82. Most of the development is high density residential with an urban center on rt.10 at the intersection of Elverson road.

How've you been. I feel bad for your parents. This giant development will be a disaster for the are in so many ways. There will be a road into Bryn Eyre right down at Mountz road. When they attempt to remediate the toxic waste from the bottom of "Glenn Morgan Lake" it could ruin Hay Creek for decades and poison ground water.

You have to love the smell of the dump, On a good day you can smell it for miles. That helps the sale of homes in the area.

The town of a real bad smell problem. That land fill is huge.
I have never seen so many trash trucks coming from philadelphia. They all dump at the Morgantown landfill

Just think all those new overpriced homes will allow the hispanics more jobs ,lawncare ...ect . And all cheaper morgantown aptartments and homes will get infected like the rest of the county,thanks to the fact our county lawmakers and goverment allow these actions.

Hi,

I lived off Route 10 and Moyer Road from 1999-2001, right around the time they built the "juvenile detention center." My realtor was "unaware" that they had just broken ground several weeks before we bought our house.

We are relocating back to the area this month, and I would like to live around Mohnton. Having lived in that general vicinity once before, I realize that New Morgan was always a potential time bomb, depending upon what could be done with it. Yet, I never anticipated high density residential construction because I thought that it was considered a "dead zone."

Can anyone tell me what is the status of this project and the likelihood that they will start to build it and whether or not you think that they can achieve the number of occupants that they are projecting within the next 20 years?

If so, I don't know whether I want to re-locate to this spot. I appreciate any insight.

The preliminary plan for 12,500 homes in New Morgan has been approved by council and the first phase of 500 homes will begin next year along rt 10.
The developers, Arcadia and Carlino are trying to convince people that surrounding communities will not be negatively impacted by additional traffic problems. They want to construct a new interchange on rt. 176 just north of the turnpike interchange. They have hired a lobbying firm to try and get tens of millions of dollars of our taxes to pay for it. They have already gotten 5 million to widen rt.10 through their new development. Rep. Jim Gerlach is proud of helping these barons stuff their pockets.
