Well here we go again!
Ryan - the shooting victim says it was an accident when his brother shot him. Our judicial system - as perfect as they are -(a lot of sarcasm there) says it was not an accident. Hey sorry folks, but after everything I've seen lately, I would side with the person who was shot - if he says it's an accident - most likely it was an accident. I sure hope someone doesn't have to spend 22 years (Cappozzi) or 13 years (DeJac) in prison before the D.A. or justice system gets it right this time.
There are so many cold blooded killers out there, drive by shootings etc., and they are released all the time but they have to keep a kid locked up for an accident. Geeeeeeeeeez !!!
Our justice system blows me away. I hope the police or DA release their reasons why they still have Nick locked up. You know the old story, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and smells like a duck IT'S PROBABLY A DUCK - same thing with this accident - if it looks like an accident, and shooting victim says it's an accident - IT'S PROBABLY AN ACCIDENT!!!

I agree with Debbie. Drop the charges and let the kid out. Anyway, what jury is going to convict with the brother testifying it was an accident. Let this family get back together and put this accident behind them.

Way to go Karen!!! I just figured this out - if you read posts on other stories that Channel 2 offers - "BOB" gives his useless insight on all of them so I apologize for responding to him in the first place, maybe we should just ignore him. You know that saying Ignore it it will go away! Hey you never know it may work :)

Mike great point. Lets bust the people that really deserve it. There are people that intentionally shoot to kill, then get away with it, no punishment whatsoever. One boy makes a mistake the same day his brother does. Do you think the boys have not learned from this mistake? They knew better, but one mistake one day. Accidents happen, but let them be together. That is what they want.

Our lawenforcement and judicial are in great need of overhall. Who knows better the victim, his parents or law officals know better. I as a grandparent surrly don't side with the officers OR D.A. Drop the charges and let this family get on with there lives! I personaly do not approve of the erie county D.A He has shown me very little as an honest and fair man.

It seem lately that the judicial system is quick to lock up the wrong person as long as they have someone behind bars! I'm sorry to say but our country is looking more and more like a Communist Society. If you fart in public they want to hang you for the illegal use of a noxious gas.

Kudos to the DA for screwing with another family.(yes, sarcasm).
Let's start by prosecuting the drug dealers and murderers to get the streets of this region cleaned up.
UGH.

Cant wait to see what Frank Clark will make of this one to screw this case up.
Maybe the older brother overdosed on coke? >joke<
maybe they had the wrong DNA? >joke<
obviously the family will be able to deal with this situation better at home than out faulted local legal system will ever be able to.
Ha..

Yeah, couldn't be the brother has mental health issues..couldn't be the younger boy feels bad for his older brother, couldn't be the parents don't want to see what's in clearly in" front of them..couldn't be "who's to blame" if he goes off in public and someone he doesn't even know has to die..couldn't be that we protect a few at the sake of many. How many times do we have to hear..he was a great kid, I don't know what happened..oh, yeah, could it be "he forgot to take his med's"? Let's just get the whole family some help and be done with it..how tragic for them!

AKJ wrote: White!!!!!!!!!! Accident, yeah right. yEA,AKJ...LIKE YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTAS DON'T SHOOT EACH OTHER. BLACK ON BLACK, REMEMBER? AND DON'T FORGET YOUR BRO WHO KILLED THOSE WOMEN IN THE LANE BRYANT STORE, OR YOUR SISTA WHO WALKED INTO THE CLASS ROOM IN LOUISIANNA AND KILLED TWO OF HER SISTAS AND HERSELF.OH, AND YOUR BRO WHO SHOT UP THE COUNCIL MEETING AND KILLED SO MANY WHITES AND HIMSELF. SO, IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THIS RACIST, BRING IT ON.
