Teen arrested in BB gun shooting

A 17-year-old La Mirada boy was arrested Thursday for allegedly using a BB gun to shoot two teenage girls running near a park earlier this week.

court hearing was on Friday, kid got 9mths in court appointed boot camp, probation among other things...sounds like he is getting much needed help...

Yeah, LM parent a minor who is a criminal and probably a ward of the court so his mommy and daddy won't get sued for everything they've got. Sad state of affairs, sick kid.

I agree, but fact is, he is a minor and I don't want to put myself in a position where I could be sued...fact is, the kid is going away for awhile, was justice served, maybe not but he will have time to think about what he is done and hopefully turn his life around.

BB gun shots can cause very serious injury, depending on where the shot hits and how it's propelled (modern compressed air gun versus the old fashioned kind). I personally knew an old lady who got hit with a BB and died from an infection in the wound and I knew a guy who was blinded in one eye after getting hit. This kid needs to get put away for a VERY long time.
