Our Blessings:A Challenge

With all the negativity that brews on this site, I thought this would be something cool & different. There's only one rule for this forum - only positive posts may be made. Each time you feel you've been blessed, be it weekly, daily, or hourly as soon as you can get to your computer, share with your fellow bloggers. There is no minimum to our blessings. They can be as large or as small as you want to share. I've had several in the past week so I'll begin. I hope you all follow along.

Last week my son graduated from 8th grade. The school held a ceremony and afterwards a dance. The kids had such a good time. They were really well behaved. They danced like crazy and I enjoyed every minute of watching them while I chaperoned. Praises to Angie L. who put together the entire party!

Yesterday my best friend at work - and one of my best friends period - worked her last day with us. She left for Toronto today. The blessing was that the party turned out fabulous! Everyone pitched in financially, ran errands for me if I needed it, and kept trying to convince me that everything was going to be alright. My friend really loved her gifts, the party, and the fact that all her friends and family were around her. The best part was that each time I got emotional my sweet 9 year old daughter would hug & kiss me!

Big and small we are all blessed on a daily basis. I hope you're all inspired to share stories of love on this forum!

My paycheck didn't bounce yesterday, I got to the bank before the companies money ran out.
Last week there was no money to cover my check.
I suppose you could call getting paid a blessing.

I hope so Sherry. These are pretty difficult times we are living in and trying to see the good is sometimes difficult.
I'm at the point in my life I take nothing for granted simply because your whole world can change in an instant and never be the same again.

Try to stay positive. God has a plan for us all. Although it's not always sunshine & rainbows, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have been in some dark spots and He has pulled me through to show me why I was there in the first place. Keep praying and I will for you as well. You are never alone!

I'm grateful for having my wonderful family and friends. I thank god everyday for them because they mean the world too me. I think so many people take life for granted when it can be ripped apart in a instance. Tell your family & friends you love them and be grateful for what you have.

These are the comments we need to hear. Appreciate what you have and not dwell on what you have lost.
My bills are paid and I'm not starving or living on the street so I guess I'm doing OK.

I'm so glad that you said this and that you realize Sherry is a good person. Sherry has a heart and she cares for a lot of good things in life. She loves her husband & children & step kids more then life itself. And she is the Best Friend anyone in this world could ask for. Don't believe everything you hear because it's not all black & white. Sherry is a good person to have on this earth especially with all the hate that goes on everyday. I remember you from school. You may not remember me. We didnt hang around the same people, but i remember you, so my contribution to this forum is that i remember Ronny Denbow being a nice person. Not a bully, no enemies! Thanx for taking me back to my school years!

Good morning, everyone! I have a great Ronny story! She has been a blessing in my life for a decade now, but I didn't like her in school. Ronny was always funny in school, but she always made fun of me. Little did I know and I found out years later, it wasn't malicious. We are now the best of friends. We've been roommates, she's helped me through some of my darkest days and literally saved my life! I thank God for Ronny!

Thank you Monya for the compliment. I tried not to be a bully or mean to anyone. I have been on the receiveing side of people that have been cruel so I always try to treat people the way I would want to be treated or for my friends and loved ones to be treated. Have a nice day and your welcome.

Well it goes both ways. I was a little mean to Sherry when we were young but it wasn't because I wanted to be cruel it was because I was trying to be funny. Now as a aldult I understand you shouldn't be funny at other's expense. Yes Sherry and I have been Best Friends now for a long time and I wouldn't trade our friendship foranything in the world. She too has been a blessing in my life. I love her,Matt and her kids like my own family. They are my family so I'm thankful for them as well. I love you guys.

From now on I'll go by Rick until people start bashing me.
Hope you had a nice day. I had a lot of running to do today including the grocery store. I bought a couple of chuck roasts they had on sale at Schnucks and I bought 2 and started trimming the fat off of one and I'll bet it had 1/2-3/4 lbs of fat on that roast and when I cooked it, it shriveled even more.
My dogs love the fat and the juice cooked down and mixed with their Purina so it wasn't a total loss and the roast will be good.
I also went by Home Depot and bought one of those cheap Chinese made folding doors made doors and put that up trying to save a little on electric on rooms I don't need to cool anyway.
So how was your day?

You're right , i shouldn't listen to other people . I'm really not like that cause i like almost everyone { unless they're mean to me } i like to know people before i can say if i like me or not . You know me from tanning . I do believe Sherry is a good person with a good heart . I let someone else judge her for me & that was wrong , it won't happen again . I know you're a sweet girl too . No I have no idea who you are other then you own or work at the old Ultra Tan. But I have read where you get bashed and so fourth. I know you have to defend yourself. I will admit I was mad when you were bashing Sherry but I understand how things get out of control before you know it. I'm glad you realize everything you read and hear aren't true because like I said it's all black & white. I thank you for being a big enough person to put this behind you guys and move forward with something positive. There is too much hate in this world. I used to carry a lot of regret & hate in my heart for things that we're beyond my control. Not anymore. And guess what? Sherry helped me through a lot of that. We are Best Friends and I'm not trying to put her on a pedestal but she really was and is a god send to my life. She makes me everyday life better by simply being a part of it. Again thank you. And I'm thankful for people who can let go of the negitive and concentrate on the positive as you have done. I hope you have a wonderful evening and week.
