Good. I'm all for a theoretical "weapon free zone" for schools, but I DO NOT think this should apply to security personel. The looneys who considering harming our children at school are counting on the fact that there is a slim to none chance of being met with armed resistance. I think every school should have someone armed present, maybe even on every floor. For schools without security gaurds, teachers should have crisis training, and why not give gun training as well? Armed teachers could be daily or weekly chosen by lottery so no one other than school offocials would know whos "packing" on a given day. As we seen in recent days, teahcers go above and beyond to give our children the tools they need to succeed in life and will protect them until their last breath, why don't we give them better tools to protect our children in these unimaginable circumstances?

I know solving the problem with school shootings by having guns in school sounds like the ultimate oxymoron, but people like Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold, Thomas Hamilton, and Adam Lanza aren't obeying the "weapon-free school zone" signs, why the hell do we expect those responsible for protecting our children to do so?

I wonder if the children of senators and congressmen have armed highly trained personal protecting them at their private schools. I would take a bet that they do.
