Who does contract negotiations one-year before the current contract is up. EAST BRUNSWICK does!!

Do they look for someone else, just as qualified, who will accept a lower salary? NO. What nonsense!

The more they continue this behavior, the more people will vote down the school budget.

to the minors, NewarkSmells. Yes, we know you got banned from the NJ.com forums for racism and deliriously insane attacks on anyone who supports Magistro, so I guess you've got no choice but to post here?

We also know you got fired from your job by Magistro for sex with a minor: Your students aren't potential date. She told you that at the hearing. Guess losing your job hurt?

Also losing your family when they left you must have been a blow to the old ego, but you deserved it you sick, racist freak.

I have lived in EB for over 5 years and have seen my taxes go up every year. I have two children in the school district and don't mind paying my fair share. I don't mind paying for sports or trips, why burden the townspeople anymore than we have too. I do believe though that there is an emormous amount of waste ie: too many andministrators etc and that can only be blamed on Magistro. Its time to conserve, not spend more. Contract negotiations should not have taken place so early.

I too agree that negotiations should not be taking place so early. Why not look for someone who would do her job for less. I'm sure they could find qualified people to do this job for less.

I most certainly will be voting down the budget again next year. I hope more citizens join me.

Well, joy, do you have any independent facts to back up your claim of "emormous waste"? Anything? A website? Something we can all read?

How about independent proof there are too many administrators? Any link you can post? Something other than your opinion, maybe?

If you can do that, I'll leave the forums forever.

How much would we really save by replacing Magistro? 0.04 percent. No, not 4 percent, 0.04 percent.

That's assuming you find someone to work for $50,000 less than Magistro.

Problem with anonymous forums is a lot of opinions are tossed around, but very little thinking goes into them.

Too much money is being used for our schools. Its time to rein in the money. Vote NO on the school budget.

Magistro is an administrative genius and saved the district $100 million in construction costs through her goddess-like ability to manage a public construction contract.

Maybe Pope Benedict will waive the requirement that someone be dead before elevating them to saint?

By the way, you're committing a mortal sin opposing education. Whatever you do for the least of my children, you do for me.

Vote no at the peril of your immortal soul.

Sounds like it's EBEA members railing against Magistro.

Anyone who has a clue about EB education knows Magistro is tough with the union, and they wanted to force her out to rape the taxpayers when negotiations start.

She's the town's only hope, and anyone who opposes her is obviously a tool of the teacher's union.

Seems like toobad and makeanewdeal are EBEA members.

Only proves the board of education made the right move to keep Magistro and reward her for her brilliance.

Iv'e lived in EB for over 220 years. Would love to stay, but the taxes are so high. Don't know how I'll be able to stay living on a fixed income. Just don't know:(

I moved to EB from South Brunswick, and the education here is way better than in my old district. It seems like the administration has better control over the schools and makes it possible for me to reach my potential.

Thank you Dr. Magistro.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
