Mother Charged With Murder In Death Of Toddler

Two days after a Laurel County toddler was found unresponsive in an East Bernstadt home, the little boy's mother has been charged with his murder.

I'd like to know if the mother confessed to abusing or killing her child and was the boyfriend ever in question?

You are so right.Nobody did shit.This child was being abused and grandparents,dad,boyfriend,etc all knew about it because she had a history of abuse and had her other kids taken away because of it.A child by the same man as this one was taken but yet no one did a thing.I would very surprised if the boyfriends children wasnt being abused to living in the household.Paperwork shows this baby had fractures and bruises and all these people had to know about it.But not one did a thing to save that child.If any of them loved that child they wouldnt have turned the other cheek and this baby wouldnt be dead so f*ck off.

Both of you are fu**ing stupid he was with the baby at the time of death and the mother was gone..how the hell could she have done it if she was not there dumbass..even the ex husband said the boyfriend didn't want nothing to do with the baby thats why he prolly left it in a room to die or he smothered it to death

The child wasn't smothered. He died from internal injuries. It wasn't instant. He bled internally from the abuse, whenever it happened, until he died.

If you know so much, then you would know that "Mike" wasn't her boyfriend anymore, he his however little Stephens biological dad. He also was with him the day prior to his death as well as MANY other people. Let the police do their jobs because no body really knows anything for sure yet... RIP little Stephen. If he was good to that baby he would have done something! Question is maybe he did do something. Punch a baby in the stomach maybe? Break a leg? If he did nothing then he is at minimum complicit. Being a good friend doesnt mean squat! Ted Bundy had good friends.

The injury that the boy sustained could have occurred days or hours before he actually bled to death, and the autopsy should give them a close idea of that. The police aren't going to tell important details to the public so everyone just has to let them do their jobs. But yes, she could have done it before she left for work and he sat at home with the boyfriend bleeding out inside until he finally died. But then again, it could have been someone that had him Thursday if it was a slow hemorrhage, and from what I hear a lot of people had contact with him that day.
(Oh and the news stated that the boy didn't seem to want to go with the mother and boyfriend, not that the boyfriend didn't want anything to do with the little boy. And that actually was only witnessed by the EX-boyfriend, who just so happened to HATE the new boyfriend - go figure. IT COULD HAVE BEEN ANYONE!)

the b/f wasn't in the picture at the time his little bones were broken.and he did call for help,femember she;the mom]told him the baby had something wrong with it's stomach;it really did,she just didn't tell how he gotthe problem.also i doubt she hit or kicked b/fs kids/they usually just hurt their own.

these other kids. Anyone stop to think that kids have a way of being rough with other kids? Maybe the mom actually did think it was a stomach virus. People are too fast to jump the gun and hang her including the police. There has been many person in this world drug addicted etc that has changed their ways and moved on to live good honest lives. But because someone has a past they are the first to get the finger pointed their way even if they didnt do it. I just smell somethin not right in all of this and I dont know any of them. Too many possibilities with that many people involved. Nobody here knows exactly what the circumstances were with her previous situation so why be so fast to condem someone until the facts are all out. Just because the police arrest someone DOES NOT mean they are guilty. Ever heard of the innocense project that is constantly overturning wrongful convictions? People have fried her in hell already without knowing all of the facts. If she is guilty she absolutely needs the maximum punishment allowed and should pay the bill 100% but shouldnt we wait to see what the outcome is before we damn her to hell?

ok i am not pointing fingers at anyone because the police already have. they had to have some kind of evidence to take her in secondly this babies insides were hit so hard that they stopped functioning and shut down so everyone on here can defend this one and defend that one it matters not to me but one thing is for sure

NO CHILD COULD BE RUFF ENOUGH TO DO THIS so cut the crap a grown adult is responsible, who i am not sure but it was an adult..... all i know is that a baby lost it life for someone elses problems(anger, jealousy, and just stupidity)and as for the family i hope that all the ones that knew about the abuse that it haunts them..... rest in peace baby boy......

I completely agree with you... the other 2 children in the home are not big enough to cause that type of damage... he was hit so hard that his intestines(sp)busted and he bleed to death... it could have been the boyfriend, the dad, the mom or any of the other adult he was under the care of...

I understand that she has 3 children in which 2 were taken from her for abuse previously and then now the 3rd had his life taken bc no one would do anything... who has them? And did I read right 1 of those was with Stephen's dad? Does he have custody or was the child taken from both of them? That could mean that he is capable of it just a much a her...

The sad thing is we will never know the truth about what happened or who actually hit the child and we will never understand why, but I do know that he will never hurt again, he will never go another minute being unloved...GOD is holding him in his arms...

I feel that each and every person that saw a bruise on this baby or had the feeling that something wasnt right but still just sit back and did nothing needs to be held accountable....I know that they will live with regret for the rest of their life, but that is NOT enough...if they would have been a responsible adult and done something made this child wouldnt have had to suffer, but who am I to judge right?

I dont know anyone involved in this, but I saw this baby and I witnessed them trying to save him...that is something I will never forget, That is why I am so ANGRY with each person that knew something was wrong and did nothing...

This poor little angel. I could cry thinking about what this poor poor little baby had to go through. And just so you know his "mother" is sitting in jail right now and has not shed a tear for this baby. She is eating and reading books and acting like nothing ever happpened. I have seen it first hand. So that should tell you something. She acts like she doesn't even give a chit which obviously never did. Look her up on myspace. I don't understand how in the hell someone who's baby just died would even have enough mind to be on myspace posting things such as "God took my angel away". If that were my child, myspace would be the furthest thing from my mind. The problem is with a lot of these young parents is that babies are cute until they get them one of their own, then they aren't so cute anymore because it's another human being who's needs and wants come before your own. I hope this mother gets what's coming to her. Anyone that can hurt a child doesn't even deserve to live, but it makes it worse when it is a child's OWN mother. My child is the dearest thing to my heart. I couldn't imagine even plucking one hair out of it's head. One more thing I'm having a hard time understanding is was this child still in diapers? If so, and the biological dad had him the day before, why didn't him or someone else notice the bruises on this child when maybe changing a diaper. When this little boy walked why didn't someone notice that his leg was fractured? It would have had to have hurt him. Everyone that was associated with this child failed this child miserably. WAKE UP people, when you see a child being abused it NEEDS to be reported. One poster said "people can change", YES they can change, but child abusers very seldom change. As another poster already said, this baby won't hurt anymore. He is in Heaven now where he will live in happiness for eternity and never hurt again.

i don't know anything about what went own but i do know will and all his family he should check his children and make sure they haven't been abuse if she is guilty of hitting her own she might have hit will children may god bless this family with the loss of the little angel babies don't ask to be born in this cruel world they are all innocent angel we are given them on loan from god and should take care of them not mis treat them this is so sad
i cry everytime i think of the suffering the little one did i wonder sometimes how long this world will last with all the evil things that goes on god bless the hold family my prayers are with them so sad
