If you need a miracle from God in your life, tell me what it is.
You never know, it may come true.

You'll be waiting a long because there are no gods or miracles.

Yeah I need a new leg, preferably one that matches my other leg in length, color, hair distribution, and toes.
Can we get it by next Sat? I need it for a race.

Obviously not because curses are silly superstition.

Brains enough for all the non-believers, to realize they are doing work for the Lord, but not enough brains to quit.

The Scriptures tell us that we should pray in accord "with what MUST be." But that Scripture is too high for Christendom , let alone a non-believer. They haven't a clue as to its purpose or meaning. Most Christians would like to view God as a great spiritual Santa Clause in the sky. God tells us in Philippians 4:8 not to worry about anything, but in thanksgiving let us make our requests known to God. How and when God answers is up to HIM.
The truth is, THE CHURCH IS ALREADY DEAD (Rev. 3:1). That's why virtually ALL THE CHRISTIAN CHURCHES IN AMERICA were for and behind the war efforts in Iraq (and dozens of other places), they are STILL IN THE STONING BUSINESS. They have NOT matured to Christ's SPIRITUAL COMMANDMENTS -- "You shall LOVE YOUR ENEMIES"!!!

I have needed so many miracles that I lost count.
So far all I have been able to depend on for my miracles has been myself. If I cant accomplish it then it dont happen. So my miracles have been small ones.
I need a miracle of a large sum of money and its for good purposes.
If you can make that happen I may become a believer.

Nobody is trying to stop the owners of Chick-fil-A from stating their opinion and from what I can tell all that has been going on since Cathy made his statement is political puffery. I understand that there is already a Chick-fil-A in Chicago and several in its suburbs and I can't imagine one being blocked unless they clearly violate a policy.
Example: Nobody can stop Bill Gates from saying "I would love to visit the cemeteries of this nation and exhume the corpses of your grandmothers for copulation." He is completely within his rights to say that and no legal action can be taken against his company, but that doesn't mean that Microsoft stock wouldn't plummet as a result.
Just because someone has the right to say something doesn't mean that everybody has to respect or like what was said.
I stand by Dan Cathy's right to free speech but I do not stand by his ignorant views.

Everything is a miracle by God. Every time you inhale and exhale the air into and from your lungs is a miracle. Everything thing you see is a miracle. Your eyes are a miracle. You see miracles with them. Think about it. You would not even know colors was unless your eyes could see it and tell the difference between all the colors you see.
Miracles upon miracles. So you see the greatest miracles that the Spirit of God performs every day all day long and all night long all over the earth...WE ALL TAKE FOR GRANTED.
How could anyone not love God? No matter what?
Think about this.
Of all the snow flakes that ever falls from heaven. No two are alike.
Now that is a miracle is it not?
Do you need a miracle from God? If so tell me 1 that you would have God do for you in your own life?
I might help you get it.
Miracles From God.

"Every time you inhale and exhale the air into and from your lungs is a miracle."
Respiration seems like a hassle more than anything else, it just so happens that is how we get oxygen into our blood. Then there is the fact that we die if we do not get enough oxygen so we constantly have to replenish the supply. It's even more of a hassle considering that most of the planets surface is covered in water which we can't even breathe. Then there are seemingly more advanced creatures than us such as the lungfish that can survive in the water and on land.
"Your eyes are a miracle."
The human eye is pretty sad, it is fragile and deteriorates easily leading many people to need corrective eye wear or surgery. The human eye also has a blind spot for some reason.
"You would not even know colors was unless your eyes could see it and tell the difference between all the colors you see."
The colors we see is actually quite a limited range of the electromagnetic spectrum. Many animals can see a much larger range and even have better functioning eyes in general. The mantis shrimp has the most advanced eyes that we know of. Some species have at least 16 different photoreceptor types which are divided into four classes, 12 of them for colour analysis in the different wavelengths and four of them for analysing polarised light. By comparison humans have only four visual pigments.
"So you see the greatest miracles that the Spirit of God performs every day all day long and all night long all over the earth...WE ALL TAKE FOR GRANTED."
I marvel at nature and try my best to learn more about it and understand it. Seems to me people who believe in fairy tales are the ones taking it all for granted.
"How could anyone not love God? No matter what?"
If you are referring to Yahweh of the Bible then it would be very easy for me to not love the illogical, petty, insecure, egomaniacal and barbaric monster that it depicts. In fact I would shun such a being with all my heart if he were to exist.
"Of all the snow flakes that ever falls from heaven. No two are alike."
Plenty are alike, its just that due to the process of crystallization and the variability that it produces it would be practically impossible to find two of them to compare that look similar.

How many times so far in your little life or your very little time here on Earth, have you been wrong about something that you just knew you were right about?

It is for each to decide, sadly imho, most people have the arrogant mindset that man is the greatest thing since sliced bread and that even though we admit to not knowing 1% about the universe, we somehow feel we know enough to stand up and say 'There is no God, because if there were He would come and prove himself to me, a literal nobody, with less importance than a fleck of sand in the expanse of the universe, that claims he doesn't believe anyway.'
Nothing rises above its source. All matter flows from its source. Man is vastly more complex than the Earth, Sun or Moon. Our source is attributed to these bodies, yet consciousness is more complex and of a higher order than either of the bodies that fuel this organism. All things flow from their source. Since our source is obviously more complex than us, we can assume that any part of the system that feeds us cannot be our source.

My prayer has been answered, refer to post #6.
#20 Jul 31, 2012
Quite a few times, for example: I used to believe in Yahweh.

"most people have the arrogant mindset that man is the greatest thing since sliced bread"
Umm... Man came before sliced bread.
"even though we admit to not knowing 1% about the universe"
Who admits? On what information do they base this on? if we don't know 99% then how did we quantify that in the first place? Nothing about this statement makes any sense.
"we somehow feel we know enough to stand up and say 'There is no God"
I never said that, I am not arrogant enough to assert certainty about anything. What I say is "There are a whole bunch of God claims and I haven't been provided with any evidence that any of them are true, so I don't believe a single one."
Do you have evidence? If so provide it. Not only will I believe you but I will make you world famous for proving something that nobody else has been able to.
"because if there were He would come and prove himself to me"
A logical God would, especially if he was so damn concerned about everyone believing in him and worshiping him.
"a literal nobody"
You don't know what literal means.
"that claims he doesn't believe anyway."
That would me MORE of a reason to prove it seeing as how belief is so important to you types. Why would you want to convince someone who already believes? How do you not see the gaping flaws in your logic?
"consciousness is more complex and of a higher order than either of the bodies that fuel this organism."
On what grounds do you make this claim? Consciousness is a fairly well understood biological phenomenon, there is no evidence to suggest that it is "higher" or apart from us as an organism.
"Since our source is obviously more complex than us"
Wait, just a second ago you claimed that things get more complex as they move from their source. Please, please READ WHAT YOU WROTE before you post.
Besides if our "source" (I assume you mean God) is more complex then that would reason that God would in turn require a more complex source to come from and so on and on.
"we can assume that any part of the system that feeds us cannot be our source."
YOU can assume that but I will reserve my assumptions because I really don't know what you are trying to say here.
