So what do you have to do to get fired?! The teachers can do no wrong? Strong union/weak school board!

OH ! Gimme a break a puzzle ? That's laughable......Most of these kids probably swear like a sailor and are into puberty and think of sex anyway. Move on, there's nothing to see here.

So in other words if it feels good do it, regardless of the consequences. Everyone else does it, so why not.

Schools are for educating, not watching idiotic TV shows so you can do a puzzle.

It's because of weak minded people like you that the children of this country are poorly educated and values and morals are almost non existent.

Try growing up and maybe along the way you'll get some common sense and culture. But as it stands now, you're just an uneducated fool that has the IQ of a simpleton.

Yes, these kids minds will be ruined for life because they seen words such as "bondage" , "submission ", etc. Maybe our kids are failing school because parents don't spent time with their kids going over school work and participating in their children's school activities .
In middle school our school district teaches human anatomy about the penis and vagina and reproductive organs. I'm talking 14-15 year old kids. Maybe we should just blindfold him until they're 18 years old. I don't see how a puzzle can ruin a child's education or make them get low test scores in their other subjects . Time to get out of the 60's mindset.

You are changing the subject. You are comparingnapples to oranges. Human anatomy and sex education does not fall into the same catagory as sleeping around, having affairs, and profanity. And that is what Fifty Shades of Gray promotes.

It is not a parents responsibliity to go over their child's homework......it is the child/student's responsibility. Parents not participating in school activities does not have anything to do with what the child is taught in school by a teacher. You are just looking for excuses. My guess is you are a teacher or you are married/date a teacher.

By the way...puzzles are fine. The subject matter of the puzzle in question is what is inapproriate. Obviously that never crossed your mind....

And your comment.."Time to get out of the 60's mindset" has nothing to do with this subject. I would say it is time for you to get a dose of reality.

You obviously did not read the article. The puzzle is a word puzzle not a picture puzzle that you put together.

It is best to read the complete article rather than just he headline.

Seriously? That attitude explains a lot about our educational situation today and why so many students are failing. It is absolutely the responsibility of parents to monitor their children to make sure they are fulfilling their responsibility as students. Teachers are NOT babysitters. Parents who do not take part in their child's education are abdicating their responsibilities then turn around and blame teachers for their child's educational failures.

That is one of the most ignorant (BTW - look up the definition of the word ignorant) statements that I've heard lately. Also, learn to use spell check - there's a red line under your error - what else do you need - hit along side the head with a 2 X 4 ?

Of all the things you SHOULD be worried about in the Monessen school district you worry about a puzzle. Out. Standing.

So now it's the parents fault that kids can't read and write, add and subtract and have no idea who the Founding Fathers are?

Is it also the parents fault that the US is 17th in Global Educational Ranking out of 50? Countries like Australia, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Russia, Ireland, UK, Netherlands, New Zealand, Finland, S. Korea, Scandinavian and Asian countries were ahead of the US.

As far as the misspelled word you complained about. Get a grip. This is a topix forum where the wrong keys are hit or they are not hit hard enough resulting in an absent letter. I would think you would be aware of that. Maybe you need to look the word "arrogant" up.

I leave you with this great quote that suits you to a tee

This is inappropriate for middle school kids. Whoever is responsible for this... should be suspended without pay.

I'm lovin it. They keep raising property taxes and the new GOV sez he is gonna get the Kiddies edumacated once and for all. What a frigging disaster. We have teacher after teacher being charged with a having sex with a minor, the common core program is designed to dumb down the students even more and most everyone accepts these lies. The school boards are staffed by incompetent morons who are there to do favors and get favors. You Democrats who thought Wolf was going to ban fracking got a swift kick in the azz didn't you? Wolf never intended to rid Pa of the frackers and his claim about the tax he levied to promote education is BS also. The roads and bridges are in the worst shape ever and nothing will be done about it. The Republicans who profess to be conservative and supportive of our constitution are equally FOS! If any of you think think that things are getting better I suggest you pull your head out of your azz or start smoking dope because it's all going down the crapper at light speed.

we should go back to the good old days where are TV shows the husband and wife slept in separate beds and the stork drops the kid down the chimney. maybe cut out all the violence on TV and quit making violent video games I remember as an 8th grader dropping my pencil on the floor on purpose to look up Sally's skirt trying to get a peek of her beaver. then going into the bathroom and beating off. we didn't have "submissive "puzzles back then. Just mother goose puzzles

It appears to this court that a teacher has given WOLFBANE a derogatory judgment with regard to his/her comment. The court finds this distasteful and therefore rules in favor of WOLFBANE. The teacher is remanded to the state prison for Butt games.

Teachers and their unions are all about 69 which they no doubt engage in 24/7.
