Greenville Single Scene for the 30-something

I am considering moving to Greenville, SC in the next year for work and to go to grad school part-time. I am single, 31, active, successful, motivated, cute and hope to meet someone similar.
I am little nervous about Greenville being so small (I am moving from Dallas). Does anyone have suggestions on where to live in? Avoid? The only places I have been looking is downtown - I am not quite ready for the Burbs but I also don't want to be stuck with a bunch 22 year olds.
Is it a pretty easy place to meet people there? Thanks for your help!

I was thinking of moving there as well. Im from Ohio and this would be a much larger city than what I am used to. Im checking this site out right now because I heard there was a lot of crime??? And I was wondering about the people there.

I just moved here about 6 months ago and love it. I am a older and live near 85 and Pelham which is the place to be IMO
I am now visiting all of the waterfall parks in SC. They are beautiful
