The highway is nearly straight there. Makes me wonder if a cell phone wasn't involved. Certainly a tragedy, none the less. Prayers to those affected.

Everyone takes thier eyes off the road for split seconds for many reasons, and we all know what that can do. An accident is what is is a ACCIDENT. Thoughts and prayers out to all involved.

If it happened just east of, it's near that turn by Horton's Vineyard. I've seen cars cross the double line coming out of that turn going west.

The highway is not nearly straight there, there is a serious curve that you hit coming from Barboursville. Depending which way one of them was coming it was right past that curve.

Experts in the field of injury prevention avoid use of the term 'accident' to describe events that cause injury in an attempt to highlight the predictable and preventable nature of most injuries. Such incidents are viewed from the perspective of epidemiology - predictable and preventable. Preferred words are more descriptive of the event itself, rather than of its unintended nature (e.g., collision, drowning, fall, etc.)

There are no "accidents."

Mr. Strickland was my neighbor and a very nice man. Mr. Garrison is my husband's cousin, such a small world! Mr.Strickland's longtime girlfriend is still pretty shaken. This happened the day after his birthday. He has 3 beautiful children that I know are going to miss him so much!

We don't know what happened but I do know Aaron, is not a reckless driver. Like Big Mama said he left his lifetime partner and 3 kids so this was an accident a split moment something went wrong.
