Under 18 USC 922(g)(8) and USC 924 (a)(2) If you possess a firearm while under a protective order you have violated these Federal Laws. If you possess a firearm during a robbery, and have in possession controlled drugs, you have violated another Federal Firearms Law.
Why isn't the District Attorney following the law?
And you wonder why there are so many unsolved crimes. The Protective orders are on file in Pottawatomie County (three), as well as Violation of protective order (2). The armed robbery of a controlled substance is filed in Okfuskee County.
One of the violations resulted in the death of a 23 year old woman. Are You Outraged?

I just heard it was said that the sentence for federal firearms violation is not great enough to warrant much attention. The Law says, "up to 10 years in a Federal prison and a 250,000 dollar fine. Sorry Mister, I don't buy that excuse! That is a much greater sentence and fine than a lot of criminals get.

Stephanie Rae Payne was murdered by her estranged husband in Sept, 2004. She was invited to his home to sign a petition for divorce so it could be filed with the courts. In less than 2 hours of arriving, she was shot in the heart with a 44 mag rifle by the estranged husband. The husband had three violations of protective orders against him by three different ex-wives. He planned this murder, called her out under false pretenses, lies about the circumstances. The Sheriff said all they could do was take his word for it because there was only 2 witnesses to the crime and one couldn't talk. Someone high in the State Offices are protecting him. That is my opinion. Wasn't even charged with firearms violation!

I talked with the asst. US atty. about this. He told me that it was illegal to "possess" a firearm while under a protective order, but not illegal enough to prosecute if you were just using it to hunt or murder a person with. Made sense to him. Maybe the mod squad can work on this.

Well you know.....This is Oklahoma, just can't take a mans hunting rifle away from him, ya know?
Regardless of their past or present "law abiding ways".
Has anyone noticed how many unsolved murders there have been in Oklahoma in the last few years?

With so many unsolved murders in this part of the State, I kinda wonder what he's using that spot light to hunt for!

I find it amazing how many posts are deleted in the Shawnee Forum. Someone has connections somewhere.

Stephanie Payne would be celebrating her 29th birthday today if her husband had not murdered her!
Gone but not forgotten! RIP Sweet Stephanie.
