With the economy being the way it is I'm looking to summplement my income with a part time job. I hear Adult World is hiring, and was thinking it would probably be a caewalk of a job beins no cars ever seem to be out front. Has anyone on these boards been in the store? Just wondering what to expect. Any help and advice would e appreciated.
PS: If I were to apply and get the job, should I park at Specks?

Never been there, but I go to Speck's all the time & have heard people coming out of there talking about what an awesomer store it is. Killer selection & helpful employees etc. Of course, I can't verify that myself. That's just what I overhear people saying when I frequent Speck's. Speck's is also known for their awesome breasts, kinda like Adult World (from what I hear).

Yes I used to work there in the late 90's. This was before the "marital aids" were so available on the internet. It was a good job, met a lot of good people and enjoyed my employee discount SEVERAL times. I did notice an increase of female customers and a falling away of the "Speck's crowd". You know, guys that would park at the chicken store and then sneek over to our shop.

Nice family business with a plesant working atmosphere. Everyone was happy in there. Lol.
I say Go For It. In this econemy take any work you can find.
Let em know if you have any further questions.

Good Luck!

Yeah,
My ex-wife used to go in there all the time. They supposedly have a good selection of DVDs and battery operated massagers. The worst thing is the parking, but if you go at night, I don't see much of a problem. Would be a decent place to work, I suspect, but must get really boring at times.

I worked there last summer. Believe it or not there are some nice people that come in to purchase novelty items. The owners are nice people. I would go back in a second!

Sounds good. Would you mind if I asked why you left? Also what were your work duties? if it's just a matter of running a register and stocking shelves than I'm interested.

That's EXACTLY what the job entails. Once in a while, they will ask you to do demos with double ended dildos & butt plugs & such, for customers who aren't clear on how certain adult novelties work. That can actually be fun at times though and many consider that part a fringe benefit of the job. Good luck!

I left to go back to college. I would definitely recommend going for it.
