This guy who stomped on this womans foot is an idiot and should be charged with assault and sued civilly. Too bad she didn't kick him in the balls with her steel toe boots.

I couldn't agree with you more. There are some who also like to break in a new pair of safety "boats" as the article calls them, by stepping on them to soil them as well. No respect for anything or anyone these days it seems. And this idiot is in charge of safety? Tisk tisk.

I think people sueing about petty stuff like this is one of the things that is wrong with America in the present age. If the person whose foot was stomped on had been in compliance with the rules, then her foot would not have been injured. Since she was not following the rules, she recieved her punishment, which was to have her foot stomped on. Better to have a 160 pound individual stomp on your foot than to have a 5 ton vehicle run it over. She should accept that as her punishment, and be happy that she did not incure a fine, or risk being fired, for not following the rules.

I agree with lame complaint safety shoes and other safety equipment is there for a reason if you dont like wearing them get a job where they ain,t required i can see safety glasses being over looked with on top of head for a few seconds but safty boots are not something you over look before you start your job (my dad dropped a heavy peice of steel on his foot and it dented the toe causing a minor injury but with out the boots his foot would of been crushed) the guy shouldn,t of stepped on her toe but should of been sent home for three days as a reminder(but the union would of fought it anyways remember people learn from there mistakes but not is this case it could of been a tragety if she would of gotten hurt and lost the foot
