Why do LGBT's deserve protections that no one else has? Are there heterosexual protections? No one deserves protection beyond the fact that they are human beings. That applies to all. This law sounds absurd.

We don't get the protection of human beings. You and your ilk have seen to that.

You vile, divorced, ignorant, lying mongoloid, such protections already exist nationwide on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, religious affiliation and then other categories depending on locale.

And this initiative would have protected on the basis of sexual orientation. That means everyone. For example, a str8 person discriminated against because someone took him for gay.

The only possible positive interpretation here is that perhaps some Alaska voters are not motivated overly by homophobia. They do tend to have that frontier type libertarianism as an auxiliary factor, I believe.

I think the term was invented by Tom Wolfe in the early 60's but I wouldn't swear to it.

The word has a broader meaning than its original one of southern whites working in the hot sun.

This happens with words.

It's transitioned from derogatory, to (depending upon who you listen to) honorable and derogatory, back to derogatory.

So you weren't making a point.

Because the word was used properly, if not in its original sense.
