The two vehicles involved were a tractor and a plymouth. It happened close to the same spot where a recent fatality involving a Crystal City woman happened. More details on www.eaglepassdaily.com

prayers for the people and family involved. Politicians, our representatives, seriously need to do something about this dangerous stretch of road. That is what this has become. hwy 277 has become a road inundated by 18 wheelers, oil/refinery trucks and travelers. It will only get worse with time. It is a hazard with the lack of passing lanes, unmarked lanes in some stretches and narrow pieces of roads along the way. I am not against progress, but something must be done to control traffic. Perhaps diverting the 18 wheelers via another route.

Perhaps all the taxes coming from the Oil shale could help pay for a two lane highway, or perhaps paving the El Indio/Mines Road all the way through.

It is not all the truck drivers fault. I going alot to Laredo and some dumb ass fool pass me going 80 to 90 miles an hour. Also some car drivers don't know the laws, they do not know how to pass. They tailgate you until you move over but that is against the law.

I have seen cars passing the 18 wheelers even when there is oncoming traffic. I think we should all look out for one another.

Please! Don't start any unessesary comments or try to blame anybody. For once, would you please leave this alone. The family is in a time of grief. Everytime someome dies in traggic accidents like this, why is it that people start commenting? Pray for your own family instead and be greatful to our Lord that nothing like this ever happens to any of your loved ones. I repeat, please obstain from any more comments and respect the family. Thank You!
