Despite all the accusations, finger pointing and bad mouthing fellow citizens of this great city "Eagle Pass" I can sure say that for Saul Fernandez and Tony Castaneda along with their followers this has been a total shame, embarrassment and shows a lot for the integrity and self esteem you guys have. I hope that by you all seeing what support you all had "12" today should show you were you all stand. Todays show is another strike against the Fernandez and Castaneda clang.

Very well said Herman. Now we know how many votes the opposition has for Mayor. Only 12 votes.

Well we can see what type of support he has and creditability but we still have to work and focus on the positive and work hard in supporting our mayer. Ramsey 2013.

i guess now we can see it's not really that saul or tony have a lot of supporters, just a handful with waaaay too much time on their hands to spend all day posting their negativity on TOPIX

I don't know about all this but I didn't know mijares was that blind. Poor guy should of taken a wheel chair. That walk must've been hell. Why do we subject others to get in on a cause that many wont follow. Lets do the aids, cancer, diabetes, leukemia. And many more walks and I assure you that you will get over a thousand people to get involved. But we have to be realistic here when we want support for a cause that has no meaning. Not that it was fair of how our Ex Chief of Police was let go. Have you ever been let go of a job or fired? It doesn't feel good at all. There was moral support for Mr Casta˝eda but its hard to control others decisions when we don't play a part in that. We as a community can't get together to support someone's firing. Why not support and protest on the guy that got laid off from chicken fil a for being gay. That's something of a concern because that's more along discrimination. It's America for crying out loud. Anyone can come out and do rally's or protests but have weight behind it to pull in the crowd. Too bad this protest was weak. The community really is divided here.

12 whole protestors, what an embarrassment for tony. Oh wait there was actually 11 because the wetback of Daniel Ramos can't even vote. The only thing these elderly people accomplished was to pay officers overtime for their escort. Why didn't they take their march to quemado where tony lives?

Nobody joined Saul and Tonys protest because it had no cause.

Our Mayor is going to win by a land slide. Let us make sure we get a great turn out by encouraging all voters to come out and vote for our Mayor. Go Ramsey!

No body joined them in their ridiculous protest because it served no merit and was a total embarrassment.

I don't think Ramsey supporters should get too sure of themselves. If Fernandez has Mexico support with all the $$ & connections he might pull it off. Will be a close run I think.

Nothing which involves Hector Mijare has ever had any impact. We just like to hear and see him making a fool of himself. It's entertaining. Mijares has always been an actor.

Now you have Daniel Ramos joing the ranks. Who are the fools of the local news media?

Mijares, Ramos, Gutierrez and Martinez.

They are the ones who want to manipulate the elected officials. Like the Ni˝o Mayor so titled by Mijares.

Yea but this protest was organized between Tony Castaneda, Saul Fernandez and that just showed the support and integrity they have.
