I can't forgive Flores for his alleged theft but I can commend him for doing the right thing and resigning. Eliaz Maldonado on the other hand is a weasel and a coward.

Despite his accusations Mr. Flores today showed humility and respect towards the position of Commissioner and to the community by resigning doing an honorable thing and accepting that his situation would hinder the advancement of the community and that was the right thing to do so for that we thank you Mr. Flores.......... en otras maneras el si tiene la verguensa i no como los otros

Did the right thing? Doing the honorable thing? Thank you Mr. Flores? He ripped you off and if not for getting caught he would still be ripping you off. Doing the right thing would have been never ripping you off. He's not sorry for ripping you off he is sorry he got caught.

Looks like Eliaz Maldonado is stealing the "coward of the county" title from Rodolfo Lopez.

of the 3 commissioners indicted recently, in my opinion he did the right thing by resigning. I believe the others are still ripping benefits from the county by still being paid while being in prison. PLEASE FOLLOW MR. FLORES' LEAD AND RESIGN

It's a shame he had to resign under such circumstances. He resigned as a crook, a good for nothing piece of shit and as an embarrassment to his family and the community. Now let's hope Maldonado does the same.So what's next Flores? Suspended by the I.S.D and now leaving your post as commissioner with your tail between your legs.Shame,shame,shame.Let's hope you behave better behind bars.

I am currently a Precinct 4 voter and former student of Mr. Flores from way back in the day in the late 90's for Geometry. I was even a student from his wife for Science. I remember seeing him outside the county courthouse asking people for his vote. I remember voting for him. I feel somewhat let down, disappointed but most of all, BETRAYED. But I must admit, it does take balls to resign like he did. I was reading all the previous posts how mostly everybody praises him for resigning. I too agree, yet, that does not stride from one thing.....it just makes him look even more guilty. Of course, innocent until proven guilty. Mr Flores, I personally feel extremely upset but with mixed emotions. But then again, you are being accused and have not yet been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I want to commend you for resigning. It is the LEAST you can do for the meantime. Should you be found guilty, then you deserve it. But whatever the outcome, just be prepared and take it. Only YOU know whether or not you are guilty of what you are being accused of. I could go on and on with more on this and other topics, but I just typed this primarily to vent out my disgust.

Good points. It certainly doesn't bode well for Cesar. His brother Jaime just plead guilty and you have to wonder whether both brothers were in cohoots. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

reading some of the responses on this matter are just as in-excusable as Flores himself. Some say "he did the right and noble thing" some are "thanking him for stepping down". This was his choice people. To rip off the community. To be a thief , a criminal,an embarrassment to his family and friends. What other choice did he have to choose from.He will be found guilty, trust me.And like Heredia's supporters (remember them ) who wrote letters outlining his good deeds and stood outside the court asking the courts to free him, will they, too, will come to face the truth and turn their back on Flores as well. And as for the "pobrecitos los kids y Becky" well be proud of your father kids and be proud of your husband Becky for he will now go down in the history books as being part of the biggest corruption scandal in Eagle Pass, TX history.
