And here we go again , the Eye on Reno , aka Citizens for better Government , must be blinded again , since the Council Members ran on the promise to lower taxes and do away with the Police Department , and neither has happened in fact the tax rates have only changed once the first year to $.8 cents lower ,$.50 to $.42 cents , and has not changed since then , the rates are the highest of any city .
2010 lets rid Reno of the Tax and Spend , grow larger government Democrats .
Can you believe in a Economy that begs for relief and the Council of Reno does nothing to help soften the burden , shame on them , time for change , lets vote them out and get some Conservatives in there and stop the spending !

How do you expect Reno to grow without raising taxes? Reno is one of the lowest in the area.$.42 cents per $100. value, that's chump change. Azle is $1.47(?) and Pelican Bay is $.89. I wonder how Reno can continue to grow at this rate? then maybe not?

The two comments say it all , 4 years ago Reno had no taxes and run just fine then Mayor Bailey , decided to impose taxes , hire 7 Police Officers , and here we are today , with taxes that can't be reduced because they are needed now .
Let me guess it was Randy's fault , no Bailey's and his cohorts , past Administration , let me see the Democratic finger pointing at someone else while taxing and spending more all to grow government .
Vote the Democrats out and let get Reno back to the people , not the Yankees and the transplants .
Oh and the flocking of people to Reno is so bad there is a waiting line , ROFL .

$.42 cents and rising , If Reno is growing , why are there so many "For Sale" signs ?
4 years ago Reno had the best taxes 0 (zero), now the pathetic want to be politicians are sucking their citizens dry . I thought the $350,000 grant would help lower taxes , guess not , just more money to burn for the spend happy Council .
How do you know when a Reno Officer is on duty , just drive by Wal-Mart or Azle Cafe .
If Police are needed so badly why are they always at the City Hall ?

WHY would you believe that a grant to repair the water system would lower taxes? That money can be used for ONLY one thing, the water system and nothing else. Usually grant funds have a percentage that the city must provide, either by cash or man hours, you should be asking which way will the city be paying for their part? Cash or man hours?
And if the cops are at wally world or ten buck two, must mean there's no crimes being committed. Wouldn't that be a good thing?

Has anyone checked with the PCS to see what yearly fees they would charge to fully patrol Reno? As a city, you MUST provide your own Police force OR pay the county! Either way, you still may lose?
