Pic Tommy Cash visits Dyess

Dyess welcomed home another favorite son last week, Tommy Cash, of Hendersonville, Tenn., younger brother to the world-famous Johnny Cash.

This is welcome news. Glad to hear Dyess is doing something to capitalize on the connection it has to Johnny Cash. I plan to make it "home to Arkansas" to be there for this event. Might even get a chance to speak to an old acquaintance Larry Sims. Good work, NE AR seems to be making progress.

Great to see this. I hope to be able to arrange a visit back to the area for this event. This could be the start of something big. Has anyone thought of making a connection to Graceland? Bring people into Memphis for SUN studio and Graceland and a short trip across the bridge to Dyess. Look at all the connections that could be made to early rockabilly if this happened.

Tommy Cash fell out from helping Dyess MANY times and does not care! No one can dispute this fact!

Ok, my post dated Jan 9, 2009 has been judged by a few as mean and out of thouch. Here's your challenge: Name the times that Tommy came to Dyess and did a concert and please cite the amounts of checks he has written for the "Cash Memorial." He gave the House of Cash sign to Dyess cuz he couldn't pawn it on Ebay...Other then that, I guess he was smarter than the rest of us because he has kept his money while the rest of us were dupped into believing in Dyess and helping them out and making donations. The rest of us are the crazy ones for trusting them...
