The Town of Dyess

Why is it that every town within 50 miles of this town has good town officials that care about their town enought to at least make it liviable for its citizens. Here in Dyess our Mayor violates housing codes, city codes, and embessels money from our city. This money should be used to fix the drainage, the water, the circle, and the roads. The road in front of Bailey's is in worst shape now than before they "fixed it,' I am gonna petition the govenors office to get these issues in the open. There is already a state auditor going to audit our city office. That should be interesting. Also, how come Larry Sims can buy land here from the city that other people have already paid money into, these people never get their money back, I guess Larry adds it to his payments. How many people believe we need a new mayor?

we have a great man. I would not put up with the abuse from people like you. are you a 'voter?' if so, you should run in next election to see if you can stand tall as he does. u just want to see what kind of crap you can add to topix? well think all have seen this sort of lies and no doubt we will continue to see this crap as the ones with negative attitudes continue to just talk and never work to make our community a better place. if other towns are so great, have you thought about joining them? I plan to stay and support our stuggling town.

for your info I have done plenty of work in the City of Dyess for free, see the problem is once you fix something here, nobody in the offices are smart enough to maintain it, like the roads, like cutting the grass, like the flowers @ the circle, all that stuff has to be cared for proper if u want it to do right, but here it only gets fixed when it falls completely down. Thats why Gene will be taking over

i could have not said it better myself. i know those flowers were donated by a famil who lost a loved one. they dont even tell people where they came from, but i know. god bless that family. i thought alot of this family, they worked so hard and now they got kicked out. shame on yall.

I know the guy who went up there to do the work, Larry took his ideas worked him for a day and now acts like he don't know the guy, funny huh? Larry is getting sued by the way

I for one know the people who run this town quiet well,and if people would quit worrying about making everyone happy and not pissing anyone off, we might get something done in this town...Until people quit thinkging it's all Larry, and get everyone out of there, we aren't going to see "change".We need a whole new city government in this town...Not just a mayor...But everyone needs to go, from the top to the bottom.I can say this about Gene Williams, he has cleaned up the circle in just a few weeks, maybe we should all follow his leadership and clean up the whole town! If you can't stand for something, then you can sit back and fall for anything! Either fight to get our town back and shaped up, or sit back and watch and watch the rest of our town fall apart!

i totalily agree wiyh you. hundreds of dollars are going out the door because bills are not payed on time. the city council aint gonna do anything but sit on there ass and let this happen. cant get a meeting called because the mayor cant get them to, maybe only one or to will show hell the other three are family so there not gonna do nothin. we have got to do something, i need some back up. lets fight to get our town back.

larry is not being sued the city is ok the only thing are these rumors from people who dont have anyone else in there life to cause drama so they focus on anything and anybody it happens to be the current mayor and lw both are doing great with what they have move on let it go

who in the hell are you fooling. you must be the hubby or a relative. hell everybody knows what she is doing. costing the city thousands of dollars for not keeping the bills paid, it aint the mayor it is her. the damn city council aint going to do nothin, hell it is all family. herd the mayor brought all of this to the council and nothin was done. this has been going on for 4 years now. stop and think how much of are money is going out the door,nobody gives a shit. when the mayor tries to take care of the problem brings this before the council they shut him down. what kind of leader ship do yall call this. none of the damn bills are paid on time, taxes are getting paid late,boy this is really eating our lunch, we do not have good credit any more, audit people keep finding mistakes, people i am talking thousands of dollars ,we have got to take control,this money is in much need of other things. how long do we half to put up with this. it is all public go see for yourself.
